Let's get proactive about LEGO scams on eBay.

I have purchased from this seller fignpoppy2013.  They were running a sale on a large exclusive set and I had an eBay coupon.  It was not drop shipped - the label was printed through paypal/eBay.  My guess is they are a Lego employee making money off their employee discount, or a friend/relative of an employee.

I agree with this but doesn't look like they are making much of of each one. The only thing is that surely employees have a limit on how much they can purchase.

There are many other ways to steal sets and then sell them online.  Keep that in mind.  Just because it's not dropshipped doesn't mean it's legitimate. Other than straight up shoplifting, for these people, rather than drop ship something, it's just as easy to buy a bunch of stuff from Amazon and have it delivered to the vacant house down the street - then go grab it off the porch after it's delivered.  You could easily accumulate quite a large inventory doing that, and I'm sure many of these non drop ship sellers are doing exactly that.

They don't care what your experience was.  They have already decided that all these people are scammers...

You guys have someone who bought from someone and you guys still don't care that you could be wrong.

I don't know what you are talking about. No one made a comment about that one. I didn't report it - I ignored it because I thought it might be ok.

You should read the posts before jumping to conclusions.

I do read these posts, they are comical...

I appreciate what you guys are trying to do but this thread should be titled, "Let's have a witch hunt!"

I would love to read some of the reports to ebay

"im Mr Lego and im telling you no one can own 10 mass produced SSD's"

You don't leave a quote when they report. As I said before, if you don't like what we are doing, leave the thread please. Go back to not caring as things get worse as worse.

I must be right a lot because most of these have been taken down shortly after I posted them here. They are in my watch list.

"Most" is not a good enough success rate when accusing people of fraud.

And yes we can leave the thread but I would hate to miss out on all these great deals.  Maybe that should be the title..."great deals on ebay

I love that you are ok with helping to ruin Lego selling for everyone on Ebay. But again, for some reason you are still here. If you want to look at them fine, but refrain from posting unless you are participating. Otherwise you are trolling.

If they are ended in your watch list it means the seller has ended them, when ebay pull them(for reporting or suspect a scam, they completey disappear from listings and watch lists .

I am not trolling. I'm not ridiculing every post.   Just b/c you do not like what I am saying, does not make me a troll...

I'm not protecting scammers. I'm trying to protect the innocent that might get trapped in your net of circumstantial evidence. (And you from getting sued when you do slander a real business.)  Every witch hunt needs a voice of reason...

I'll move along...the mob might turn on me and continue to blame me for ebay ills. (too late)   I will comment again next week that this thread is a witch hunt so that others don't automatically assume everyone on this list is a scammer.
