ppsagehen Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Laketown chase just got a little bit cooler: http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-news/stephen-colbert-and-fam-appear-in--the-hobbit--the-desolation-of-smaug--184627559.html Quote
krayzie Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 So who saw the movie? I saw it. I thought it was okay... They shouldn't have made it into 3 movies. Quote
TheDarkness Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 From The Brick Fan Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit Smaug will be a similar size to the dragon in the Dragon Mountain (70403) set. The Witch King will also make an appearance and will glow in the dark. Elrond makes a return and looks similar to the polybag version from the LOTR game pre-order bonus. 2 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Here is a pretty decent image for the Legolas polybag yet we still have no idea where it is available from at this point in time. I say it looks as though our good friend is somehow using 'the force' to fire that catapult flick missile arrow thingy at the target....and missing the mark completely. Quote
Alcarin Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Its supposed to be available in Denmark and Netherlands in some shops! Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Its supposed to be available in Denmark and Netherlands in some shops!Well, at least it is available somewhere in the world. It looks terrible. It looks pointless. Do we need yet another of the same Legolas? Quote
CNH1974 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 It's not pointless if you are a child. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker Quote
Alcarin Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Its also pretty obvious that its available in EU or somewhere outside US because it has no parts/pieces count on the polybag on that image Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 It's not pointless if you are a child.Okay, you got me there. That version of Legolas is only available with Escape from Mirkwood Spiders making this the cheapest option. Quote
krayzie Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I haven't bothered researching this but it looks like the legolas polybag might be a target exclusive packaged with the desolation of smaug blu-ray release. If this is true, it better come with the 3D version.... http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/30215_Legolas_Greenleaf Quote
krayzie Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Okay, you got me there. That version of Legolas is only available with Escape from Mirkwood Spiders making this the cheapest option. It's also not pointless if you feel the need to collect every set from a theme! I still need to buy those damn avengers polybags that never made it over here... Freaking $15 for a thor polybag... bah! Well bloody hell.. http://www.bricksandbloks.com/lego-hobbit-legolas-30215-minifigure-polybag-exclusive-announced/ So now I would have to buy that then buy the 3d extended edition when it comes out. Hopefully the polybags are cheap on ebay. Quote
seapotato Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Ohhh I'd want that poly but don't want to buy the initial release. I want to wait for a boxed set. Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote

Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Highly doubtful but maybe they'll offer a cheap box you can put the movies in like they did for the LOTR extended dvd's back in the day! Quote
seapotato Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 There was a box? I bought the extended editions of Lotr trilogy so I guess they were already in their own boxes lol Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote
krayzie Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 There was a box? I bought the extended editions of Lotr trilogy so I guess they were already in their own boxes lol Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker There was an outer box to put all 3 copies in. I think it was like $4 for s&****. Quote
seapotato Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Oh! I'm going to google this. Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote

exciter1 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Highly doubtful but maybe they'll offer a cheap box you can put the movies in like they did for the LOTR extended dvd's back in the day! I thought the LOTR extended DVD box was well done. Quote
seapotato Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Oh that's pretty neat! Though it looks like the box they come in. Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote
krayzie Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I thought the LOTR extended DVD box was well done. I meant cheap as in cheap to buy. I love the thing! I am surprised they even allowed us to mail in for one. Quote
exciter1 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I meant cheap as in cheap to buy. I love the thing! I am surprised they even allowed us to mail in for one. I was very surprised by it too, when it was released. I think it was only $3. Quote

Hopefully the polybags are cheap on ebay. And there is one good reason why I am a completist within reason. If the minifigure was exclusive then perhaps I might see myself buying the polybag but mainly otherwise (especially in this case), I just walk away. The character in either the Thor or Legolas polybags are/were available in other easily attainable sets. If you only want the character then that's okay but honestly why would I pay $15 for a single minifigure when I could buy a larger box set including the same one fully loaded with parts as well as a few other minifigures for a few dollars more?Anyway, that Legolas polybag will be nice for any child of the parent buying the super ultra mega deluxe 3D version of the film but I already have a couple of that Legolas from the Mirkwood Spiders sets I found on clearance. As if I need yet another. Ha. 1 Quote
