Brick
A 1961 725 town plan. Got it for $40 off Craigslist about 10 years ago. Largest set sold in Lego's first year in America.
marcandre
Still have my 8860 car from 1980. My 8 yo bday present. 30 years later it's lead to closets full of modulars...

DoNotInsertIntoMouth
Probably an AT-OT dropship now that I sold my Cafe Corner.
Fcbarcelona101
Probably an AT-OT dropship now that I sold my Cafe Corner. I keep hoping I can get one (AT-OT) cheap on eBay to build and then resell....it has eluded me for a while now.
tractorboy
Picked up this set recently in a mixed lot with a few other vintage sets, with the box and instructions in excellent condition, and only missing the arial and the yellow ladder and one little sticker. Really nice set with a great mix of parts, that was only released in Europe at the time I think (1977).

Jojoyojimbi
This one I believe. how's it different than the regular clone trooper lieutenant? cause i've got like a half dozen of these guys i've owned a lot of big sets but i keep selling them and buying more stuff
supergman
My father bought be tons of lego when I was growing up and I still have #4005 tugboat, in a box, sealed. Not sure if it's worth anything, but it was the first set he bought when I was born and held onto it for years.
Blackjack
Maybe Iron Patriot or Toy Fair Darth Maul.

Ciglione
I have only 2 sets which might be rare but I am not sure. 10121 NBA Basketball Teams (MISB) and 9465 Monster Fighters - the Zombies (NISB) As I only started in December with the collecting/investing game, I do not have really rare sets yet. I hope the sets I bought the last months all will become rare! haha
brickswelt
I think my rarest set is the 6987 Message Intercept Base from 1988 and some other Sets from the Space Themes. Actually, it are the 10174, 8043 and 8110. I had also the 10178 and 10212, but sold them. And now i hit me in the face that i gave them away. Sauromosis
I guess grand carousel. It's for sale but I constantly wonder if I should keep it.
inversion
Emerald Night and 10210 Imperial Flagship. These are the rarest in my stash, but not really rare in the absolute sense. Also have the 8480 Technic Space Shuttle from my childhood which is truly an awesome set, one of the best Technics ever made, but looking at its prices it is not too hard to get. brickelements
6281 Pirates Perilous Pitfall, with instructions and Box. When I bought the set the box had been folded over at some point allowing everything to fit in a smaller shipping box. :-( Pieces are Nrmt. Another possible display piece. Many copies of the Skull Eye Schooner 6286. Two very near mint as they were display pieces. (no box though) Aside of that, Monster Fighters Zombies sets (6). Not terribly rare just a short production run.

Gooker1
I had no idea about the existence of the 2008 promo, but now my life shall not be complete until I own one! It's a sweet promo as the top actually spins around and it's enclosed in a box similar to the Yoda one.

oneknightr
Had a sealed 10179 and decided to sell it about a month ago due to hearing about the new UCS Falcon rumors, needing money to buy other sets, and realizing that I will never ever open it to build. I guess my rarest current set is Diagon Alley.
