pickleboy
Lego fan builds world's longest toy train circuit out of 93,000 bricks - and it takes more than three hours to go round http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2364154/Lego-fan-builds-worlds-longest-toy-train-circuit-93-000-bricks.html I am personally not a fan. I want a townscape...some buildings etc. I guess it's kinda cool b/c that thing is HUGE but, that just does not look fun to me.
Guest ph4tb0i
agreed. where's the yard and the downtown?
BigEZ96
It's an amazing accomplishment, but not very exciting...
Grolim
Wasn't this on the Brickshow a while ago? Pretty impressive effort, but dead boring after about 5 minutes.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
I'm gonna just put it out there that I doubt any of you have built a trillion mile Lego train set... But yeah I think it would be cool if they at least had some decorations.
seapotato
It's kinda cool, but look way more amazing if he added other things, like trees and townspeople!
RogerWilco
What is being used for the tracks on that thing?

TheOrcKing
Fun: NoImpressive: DefinatelyUmm, what set has a lot of (or any) blue train tracks though? :scratchhead:
ctoddlight
Not interesting at all to me. At least he could have put in one feature, like a station for the train to start at before it's long journey. I'm not sure how he can be classified as a Lego fan if he wasn't compelled to add some details.
Gkorneev
Fun: No Impressive: Definately Umm, what set has a lot of (or any) blue train tracks though? I don't know what sets they come from exactly, but it's vintage LEGO from like the 70's I think. I agree, not very much fun.
Seifer
Looks boring. Trains are great, but they really take the spotlight when combined with a nice scenery and landscape. Mountains, lakes, tunnels, bridges, harbours, terminals... all of this makes the railroad so much better than just plain tracks. With all that space they could have done a much better job. TheOrcKing
I think the guy was just trying to go for "World's longest Lego train track" the same way how many people have competed the title of "World's longest front engine pulled Lego train" (which I think is 126 cars currently). It still is a though.

The blue railroad track pieces are from every train set before the 80s. I wonder why Lego made them blue to begin with? Guess they looked nicer that way. vincevaughn
I imagine it would be very cool to actually design and build it then it is to just watch it. I mean, I love epic MOC's and who wouldn't turn into a giggling school girl when filling a basketball court with a single lego train circuit? It would have been awesome to have about 200 small trains and set one going every 2 minutes or so for the duration. That would quickly become sensory overload lol. Somehow you just reminded me of the old Domino rally sets from my childhood. Ebay searched them out of curiosity, most resist the urge now lol http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pressman-Toys-Domino-Rally-Deluxe-Set-1989-2-Other-Sets-Assorted-Parts-Only-/400534500474?pt=Games_US&hash=item5d41b7747a

I totally loved that set. I combined it with other stuff. Dominos were rough though - imagine if you misstepped putting a Lego piece on a set and the whole thing fell apart?
