LegoPodcaster
I found five of these at Meijer today 50% off and am debating on whether or not I should get them. Any opinons on how this set will do after EOL are welcome.
sgoldham
You can't beat 50% off. They are part of the City theme so they should appreciate in value....no way you'll lose with the 50% off discount.
Ed Mack
Looks like you bought them at the right time. They are starting to increase in value after some deep discounting. I have been giving the CITY theme some love lately. Some CITY sets appreciate very, very well and it's time they get some attention from investors. 401G
I'd pass on the most all of the City stuff with the exceptions for Trains. Everything else is just a dog. If you get it on a large discount, you're better off trying to flip it quick than hold and pray for years hoping it will appreciate. Good luck! 401G

I agree; 50% off is too good to pass up, and even if the set doesn't do well in the secondary market, it's almost guaranteed that it will return to at least retail price. LegoPodcaster
I ended up waiting until today and got 4 of them 50% off plus Meijer was having a 15% off all general merchandise, including LEGO! I also found 3 Queen Anne's Revenge for $80.00 plus 15% off.

Don't underestimate the City theme. It is one of The LEGO Group's most successful themes and there are some sleepers in there.
