fieldbricks
So today I went out and bought eight series ten minifigures. Anyways, I noticed that the bag is somewhat translucent. Did anyone ever try shining a bright flashlight under the bag to see what's inside? Does anyone want to try? I won't be getting any new minifigures soon, so someone please reply with results. Mos_Eisley
I've done it but it's more work and not any faster than just feeling for a particular element.
fieldbricks
Well, I'm not too good with feeling the packaging. People say smooshing the package is the best way, but that hasn't worked out too well for me.

I have never bought minifigures, but I might try this for fun. I like doing things like this to try and find out whats in the package. Mos_Eisley
Then I'm not sure if the flashlight would work for you either. First, you need a really bright flashlight, not your average kind. Second, you can't see printing you can just make out the shapes of parts so you just look for the unique element(s). I find a mix of bump code and feeling to be the fastest. fieldbricks
I did use an opened bag, put some pieces in it, and sealed it with tape. I works somewhat well, or at least better than feeling the bag. Then again, I completely forgot about bump codes, hehe.
TheOrcKing
I've never heard you could use a flashlight to 'peak' through a package. Interesting....Smooshing does take a while to get used to it as well as remembering what to feel for, but it has been 100% effective every time for me. Diabolos80
News @ 11: Local Lego investor blinded after staring into flashlight for 15 minutes while searching blind bags. Oh the irony!
Grolim
I still think weight is the fastest method, as long as you know the weights beforehand. Haven't tried a flashlight though, never new they were somewhat transparent. Is it just S10 or do the other series work like that as well? fieldbricks
Well the packages are slightly teansparent, especially on the "questions marks" themselves (the package has the question mark background). I think other series should work, but never tried them.
kvasir
I got smooshing down to a science, on average a few seconds per bag.

That is a bit too expensive for me at this time. Maybe in the future, if the still have CMS, and this for sale.
