It is, I found it on craigslist for $900 and have been slowly building it this past month...very slowly, I'm only about half way done! boxofcorey
This is in the corner of my office...makes for a good conversation piece when clients come by to work with me Is that the correct way to put the Palace/Rancor together? Because everyone else has displays that make me never want to try and display them together.

Yeah, all of the pics online make it look really goofy with the tower sticking off the side like a tumor... If they would just open up the rancor gate it balances out nicely and looks really cool (and sturdy) The gate swivels with the palace on top of it, so you can adjust it as you see fit, but I'm pretty sure the designers intended for the gate to be at an angle (it comes on hinges...) Fcbarcelona101
I have it displayed on my desk the exact same way. It's the only way it looks good to me, as the tower can't be "underground" along with the pit :s
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
I plan on adding a custom bit for the tower to be the same height as the palace. I don't like it off the door.

comicblast
Some of mine: FCB, for your LoTR display, do you have two Black Gate sets? If so, I assume you just built the second one as a mirror image of the first?
Fcbarcelona101
FCB, for your LoTR display, do you have two Black Gate sets? If so, I assume you just built the second one as a mirror image of the first? Basically, you just build the second one per the regular instructions and it allows you to connect another one on either side. Makes it pretty convenient and easy. binici
I was supposed to buy a glass case/cabinet from IKEA during BF, but they sold out! We had some of the SW ships built, but room was a factor, so we took them apart, for now... Here are sets we have been collecting and investing! Closet space is huge!

For the Winter Village, it's only out a month so I dust once before disassembly after Christmas.

Ill post mine all behind glassed furniture I could not have LEGOs out like that... Of course the collections collect dust. With me living in Utah, and the ridiculously dry air, there is dust EVERYWHERE. And it accumulates stupid fast. But honestly, it gives me an excuse to take the sets apart every once in a while and rebuild them. Nothing wrong with that. And besides, it's awesome to show friends and stuff. Having the sets in boxes just doesn't do it for me!
