TheOrcKing Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Hot fuzz, anyone? I love British humor Ever heard of the TV series called "Spaced"? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szJ07k-cHqU Since I'm posting, I remembered this cartoon the other day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXHeuRMc6ak Quote

El Guapo Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Didn't read the entire thread just pages 1-3. Surprised not more love for Firefly! Great show...just saw Percy Jackson with the boys and Nathan Fillion has a line that says "it was a hugely popular show, so of course it got cancelled". Pretty sure it was a nod to Firelfly and I was the only one in the theater that got it! I have really been into Miyazaki lately. Not that the imdb top 250 is any better or worse than other list...but Miyazaki has 6 movies on that list. Quote
El Guapo Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Some of my favorite movies: Star Wars (mostly the OT, but I seem to be one of the few who can tolerate I-III. Lotr ---and i am including the hobbit in there. Especially with how so many characters appear in both movies (that I don't remember being in the Hobbit like Saruman, Galadriel, Frodo, and Legolas). I wouldn't be surprised if Aragon was in part 3. (Think he'd be a teenager...since he's like 86 in lotr). True Romance...love this movie. The most impressive list of actors I can remember (love Val kilmers role!) I love the Harry potter movies too, and Indiana jones. There seems to be a John Williams thread in most of my favorites! El Guapo Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I am curious what everyone watches? I am a big Law and Order Fan. Otherwise I'm all comedies in order of best down, my top five: 1. Seinfeld - best show of all time hands down. 2. Aqua Teen Hunger Force 3, Family Guy 4. Archer 5. The League What do you guys like? The League is the funniest show on TV! Just thinking about Taco's Niganta song makes me lol. Do you watch Portlandia? Too me it has some misses, but when it is on it really cracks me up too! Quote

exciter1 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Check Out the Movie Trailer for the New Robocop Moviehttp://www.joblo.com/movie-news/the-first-trailer-for-jose-padilhas-robocop-is-here I refuse to watch it, although I did watch the original just the other night. "I'd buy that for a dollar" I did watch the "Fright Night" remake, which was disappointing. I still refuse to watch the "Total Recall" and "Karate Kid" remakes. I'm still up in the air about "Man of Steel", I can't bring myself to watch it yet. Christopher Reeve's version in "Superman 1 & 2" have too many fond childhood memories for me and I have trouble seeing anyone else as Superman. Although, "Smallville" was pretty good, once you got past the first 3 seasons. Quote
emazers Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Movie NewsPirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Delayed; 2016 Release LikelySource: Walt Disney PicturesSeptember 10, 201334 0Although Captain Jack Sparrow is set to sail again in the forthcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Walt Disney Pictures now brings word that the project won't make its original release date of July 10, 2015. Although nothing is set in stone, studio sources indicate that a 2016 release is likely. The news comes just one day after the studio rescheduled the Marvel Studios property Ant-Man.Launched in 2003 with The Curse of the Black Pearl, the franchise has, in every film so far, featured Johnny Depp in the role of Captain Jack Sparrow. The most recent adventure, On Stranger Tides, also starred Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane and Sam Claflin and turned out more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office.Catch Me If You Can scribe Jeff Nathanson has provided the screenplay for the fifth installment, which will be directed by Kon-Tiki's Joachim R Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 The League is the funniest show on TV! Just thinking about Taco's Niganta song makes me lol. Do you watch Portlandia? Too me it has some misses, but when it is on it really cracks me up too! I have never seen it but I have thought about it. Niganta song is amazing. That show in general is just amazing. The second second finally (two parter) was unbelievable. I cried like 5 times from laughing. Quote
DMoCTTA Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 If we're going non-cartoon (cuz that list would be me having a 64 team bracket with a winner that I'd probably have lose to some show that was eliminated in the first round)... then it'd be Survivor love that show. But as far as one that I have enjoyed the most (positively, the positive message that I keep preaching on my channel lol) then it'd be American Idol Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I just watched the series finale of Burn Notice... Finally it is over. The truth is the series has been going for 2 seasons too long, but it is nice to have closure. RIP Michael Westen... ... did I detect a spin-off ? Quote
TheOrcKing Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I remember finding this animation student project short a year ago and then forgot what the name was until now. I love these little student films. Some fresh ideas and interesting subtexts, or just a reason to be goofy. Entropy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwltCgkB6Pk Quote

TheOrcKing Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Back in the day, there were some videos showcasing a bunch of clips using what was then the latest in computer animation. This was back in the early 1990's when the medium was starting to be taken seriously or even seemed feasible. Anyway, here is the complete first in the Computer Animation Festival series. The whole thing is separated into parts and was taken from a VHS tape so quality isn't that great but hey, it's free!Part 1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN0CO5Kzf78Part 2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9L7rjKyI9xEPart 3http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CI-YywPzKAPart 4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nMUSlsiSwMPart 5http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWP3VOgoehQPart 6http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EML8rywF0FM Quote
