KvHulk
Saw Clerks III yesterday. Better than I was expecting. Some genuinely emotional stuff thrown in here. Werewolf by Night - Just do it. Good stuff.

KvHulk
That Weird Al movie wasn't worth it. It's literally a parody of a biography. Not sure what the point of this was. Total waste of time. (I know it was a parody. And I "got it". it just wasn't what I was expecting nor was it amusing.) I feel let down. womp womp. exciter1
I watched Avatar 1 & 2 over the past week. I'm in the minority, I don't get they hype for this series. It has some cool elements and spectacular visuals, but the plot is very lacking and they drag it out over 3+ hours. The humans have no redeeming quality and the Na'vi culture is a very indulgent visual spectacle. Yes, you can very much compare this to a Dances With Wolves type story, or the Empire fighting the Ewoks. That's basically all it is.
KvHulk
You aren't in the minority. In 12 years I have yet to meet a single person that enjoyed Avatar, or wanted or asked for a sequel. That being said, some people must love this blue porn because it's selling... or so they keep telling me.

The first two are very similar in plot, with some family stuff thrown into Avatar 2.
Bricklectic
Random rant: I havent watched much star wars since the first 6 films came out. Recently started catching up on clone wars, bobba fett, obi wan mando etc.. Is it just me or has the violence gone off the charts? Both in volume and graphicness. IIRC the original trilogy and prequel was 85% story 15% fighting and even the fighting was a super tame lightsaber duel or occasional force lightning. I think even the lightsabers didnt slice through people but almost comically glanced off of them. All the modern stuff feels more like a 40% story 60% fighting split. And the fighting doesnt shy away from beheadings and other body sections being sliced away at will. Yes I know you can point to a force choke or 2 from vader in the OT but I dont remember being as turned off from the graphic violence as a kid watching them as I do from the the modern shows as an adult. And I definitely have not become more sensitive. Some of these should be PG13 or R. Rant over.

They use stun mode like crazy throughout and then kill a whole village.

Not gonna lie, Tom Cruise hasn't aged a day and looks insanely good for 60. The fact that they had to kill off Val Kilmer because you know he actually aged and had real life health issues with throat cancer while Tom Cruise opens the film with an ad of him parachuting out of helicopter as a promo was just too much for me. Bricklectic
Is it just me or is this show alternatively boring and cringe worthy. Tries wayy too hard to be cool. And too much forced laughter.

That is one of my 9 year old's favorite shows. We watch it together every week. A lot of the contestants they have on are pretty cringe, but I actually like Will and appreciate his 'dad joke' sense of humor lol
