Guest eightbrick Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 On the lighter side of things in the world, an amputee built herself a leg out of Lego. It's nice to see people enjoying life like this, taking a light-hearted approach to a devastating thing that happened to them (I believe she was in some sort of accident). "She is now the first person in history to be happy to step on a Lego" Read the article here: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/good-news/amputee-builds-her-own-prosthetic-leg-lego-155447445.html Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 That is the most hard thing ever. Is it bad to say that makes me wish I was missing a body part. I want a Lego face. Quote
Guest eightbrick Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 i want a Bionicle claw hand LOL that wouldn't work for me. It would be like Edward Scissorhands, except your face would have a bunch of Lego logo imprints on it from scratching yourself. I would probably end up accidentally choking myself while brushing my teeth. Quote

IrishGuy66 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 This is the most incredible, heartwarming Lego project I've ever seen! http://www.thebrickfan.com/christina-stephens-lego-prosthetic-leg/ Quote

Darth Lego Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I searched and couldn't find it, sorry. That's ok dude. At least you tried! Quote
Blackjack Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Seriously guys, stop calling thread merges. It just sours the mood of a thread and shifts discussion away from the topic. Leave it to the mods. Like IrishGuy said earlier, it just looks like you're trying to prove that you can be good mods. End of rant. Cool project though! Quote

Like IrishGuy said earlier, it just looks like you're trying to prove that you can be good mods. End of rant. Cool project though! The only reason why I mentioned it was because their was another thread with the exact same topic as this one. For the LEGO jokes thread it made sense to me to have it moved because we had LEGO jokes in the other thread as well. (The jokes thread got merged BTW.) I know Irishguy66 and DNIIM apologized and I have accepted those apologies. I just feel like you didn't have to bring this discussion up again. No hard feelings, right? Quote
Quacs Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Thread has been merged. It's time to stop the "merge thread" argument. It's tired, and not worth the time it takes for anyone to read it. Quote
