Retailers keeping items in back just to wait for a clearance sale is poor business practice. Besides most retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Toy R Us, etc. don't stock Lego themselves. Lego stocks their own product on the shelves. Just like the Frito Lay guys do in the grocery ailse or the local beer distributor does for Budweiser in the liquor ailse. If a manager at Wal-Mart removes Lego stock from the floor he or she is doing it on their own. I know, I've talked to the Lego folks that stock the shelves (I've seen and talked to the same Lego stock people at the local Wal-Mart, Targets and TRU) and my wife is in ICS at Wal-Mart.
