brickolodon Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 http://www.brickowl.com register to win???.....I dont know about them but they sell LEGO, Quote
Ambroise Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 This looks very similar to Bricklink... with a more modern interface, but the same main features. It is still very young but I'll follow it. Fees are announced to be 2.5% (so less then Bricklink). Quote
kerrmando Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) Hey guys, just found Brick Owl this morning! I for one love it when new sites open up to sell Legos on! It helps keep fee levels down at other sites. Anyone seen this site/used it/thinking about using it? I just registered an account and may try it out, especially with the no fee offer through the end of the year! spener90 Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 There was a post about this recently? I believe at least? Quote
kerrmando Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 oops, I did a forum search for Brick Owl separate, but didn't do it closed. Thats why I missed that..sorry. Quote
stackables Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I will check it out. Haven't been impressed with Bricktrader at all. Quote
spener90 Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 oops, I did a forum search for Brick Owl separate, but didn't do it closed. Thats why I missed that..sorry. I do it all of the time. I'm actually sure that quite a few of our posts are repeats... Thanks Moderators for tolerating our ineptitude to search Quote
Jeff Mack Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Overall I think they did a great job. It's a lot of work, so anyone that tries to tackle something like it earns my total respect. Bricktrader will probably disappear. There isn't enough there to gain much interest from the serious stores. Quote
comicblast Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Looks great! It looks way more 2013-ish than BrickLink IMO, so I signed up! We'll see how it turns out! Quote
wesman888 Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 They require you to have a business account with Paypal to setup the paypal payment option... Quote
Happyblue22 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 They require you to have a business account with Paypal to setup the paypal payment option... Just reading on there forum, Iooks like they changed it to support non-business accounts. Quote
matt1147 Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Yes when you set up a store and pick payment options, there's "PayPal" which is a business account then "PayPal standard" which is non business. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I took a look at this place and everything is just really expensive. Quote
stackables Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I took a look at this place and everything is just really expensive. Seems like the common trend with all these "new" lego sites popping up. Bricktraders prices are horrible and so far I can get most items cheaper on Bricklink. Quote
