tonysbricks Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Factor in the TRU mark-up and the total comes to $22.96. Quote
TheDarkness Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Ah the joys of TRU humor! Seriously though, I can only shake my head at the greed of these people. It is bad enough they are stealing, but they continue to push the envelope until it becomes blatantly obvious and they get caught. Quote
Miami Bomb Squad Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 "to contest his competency to stand trial" ???????????????????????????????? I think he is more than competent. Quote
JoshTX Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 He knew to invest in (steal) Harry Potter sets over stuff like POP, Atlantis, and Pharoah's Quest. This guy was an informed investor in addition to being a thief. Quote
weakside Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 crazy...and he had the gull to use credit/reward pts card to be traced lol. Fine line between stupid and brave. I think TRU has cameras everywhere too so it's just asking for trouble. Took the investigator(s) long enough geez. With that estimate a lot of people probably bought from him too. Well, instead of playing with bricks...in jail he'll probably be meeting a lot of pr--ks. Insurance and price mark ups to consumers should cover TRU loses. It's just as bad or worse when someone 'returns' a set but puts garage stuff in there to replace Lego. Quote
LowestFormOfWit Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 This reminds me of the article I read, also from last year or so, about the millionaire tech guy who created fake UPC labels on Target LEGO boxes so they rung up for cheaper prices. Quote
Sabrejimmy Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 People like this give Lego investing a bad name. Quote
Guest eightbrick Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Well, instead of playing with bricks...in jail he'll probably be meeting a lot of pr--ks. Actually no, he'll be meeting a lot of... well let's just say it rhymes with bricks and pr--ks. Specifically in the shower area. What you get for being a brazen thief. But the worst robbery I ever heard about regarding Lego was this one kid who had a disease so he need needed to go to the hospital frequently, so he had a sizable collection of Lego at room near/in the hospital. But one day, when he came in in preparation for a surgery or something, all the Lego his parents bought him to calm him down was gone. I don't even think they found the thief. Quote

Miami Bomb Squad Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 Do you think He could be a Brickpicker Member? Quote
jaisonline Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 moron. i dislike thieves even ones robbing TRU. that leakage prob just gives TRU more incentive to keep prices high. Quote
Guest eightbrick Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Do you think He could be a Brickpicker Member? Doubt it. LOL on his Brickfolio it would say: purchase price :$1 USD for Hogwarts Castle. Quote
