TheOrcKing Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Well, this one caught me by surprise. If anything just for the simple fact it is a Technic set and I haven't seen any reviews on the 2013 ones save for maybe one or two others. Come on, it's Technic. Why is no one reviewing these?! Then again, I don't see these in store anywhere come to think of it.Here is the link.Name: Mobile Crane MK IINumber: 42009Pieces: 2,606Retail: US - $219.99, CAN - $249, AUS - $279.99, UK - 1 Quote
Guest ph4tb0i Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 this will definitely be on the must-buy list later on... Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I do not know how Technic sets lovers do it, but the tips of my thumbs hurt just by reading how many pins were included in this set. It looks impressive, don't get me wrong, but I know I won't be getting this one to build. Quote
Grolim Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Great looking set. I'm generally not a huge technic fan but that one has me drooling Quote
Diabolos80 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm really looking forward building to this set. I missed the last mobile crane, which is now selling for $350 on ebay. I don't know it this one carries the same potential, so I might not buy more than one. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Don't buy it yet until it's discounted in say, 2 year's time. Quote
M4x18 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Holy crap! It has 600+ pieces than Unimog! The reviewer stated that this one was a pre-release copy, lucky dog. Quote
TheDarkness Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 It looks awesome. And it is a long time before I will consider buying it! Quote
Miami Bomb Squad Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Are u kidding me, if You have the $$, this is the one to Load up on. 18 months and counting. Quote
Lateral-G Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 It's strange how none of the upcoming 2H 2013 Technic sets are listed on LEGO Shop at Home. I thought they would have given VIP members a shot at them early (like they did with the Tower of Orthanc) But it is strange they have all the new SW sets, the new Friends sets, the new CUUSOO BTTF set plus all the new City sets but no Technic. What gives? Quote
TheOrcKing Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 Well, we finally have some more Technic reviews! Here is the first one.Name: Monster TruckNumber: 42005Pieces: 329Retail: US - $49.99, CAN - $59.99, AUS - $59.99, UK - Quote
Quacs Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 It's strange how none of the upcoming 2H 2013 Technic sets are listed on S@H. I thought they would have given VIP members a shot at them early (like they did with the Tower of Orthanc) But it is strange they have all the new SW sets, the new Friends sets, the new CUUSOO BTTF set plus all the new City sets but no Technic. What gives? Not sure, Lateral, but good catch. I did have a chance to hit a Lego Store yesterday for a monthly mini-build for my kids and saw all the new Technic sets on display. The crane is a phenomenal model, and the box is a flip cover with some killer graphics. The Service Truck looks insanely cool (that green just jumps off the box), but it comes in a curiously small box for a $130.00 set. I saw 4x4 Crawler Exclusive too, and it was as great as advertised. This is setting up to be an epic release for Technic. Quote
supraboy888 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I picked up the MKII crane for $200CAD, taxes included. Got it from TRU while using a $15 discount card on top of that. I just got this last week and I feel like building it. This is the first ever technic set that I've bought. Quote
