They will usually email you a return shipping label and send you a brand new set. I have had good expierence with them.

I know, but it looks crappy giving him a dented pancaked box for Xmas. It’s going in the trash anyway, but it still bugs me.

It’s cutting it close. Xmas is right around the corner.....and if I’m not mistaken, it’s on backorder and will ship in 30 days.

If you live near a Lego store bring it in and exchange it. With Christmas getting close I doubt you will get a new one back in time  for Christmas morning if you mail it back.

Hit a BAM BOGO50 sale today. Word to those still shopping, process separate transactions for every two sets. The system (at least at my store) picked the cheapest half of sets to ring up at 50% off, and then prorated the discount among all of the sets. So I had to go back and rerun the whole thing. As a bonus I got a small additional discount for the inconvenience, so my prices aren't necessarily generally available for all sets. Also, if you see any Sky High Battle 76046, pick it up. Mine rang up as $.02 which means it should have been removed from the floor, so they price adjusted to $1 and sold both to me.

I got a Resistance Troop Transporter at Barnes for 30% off plus my membership 20% off box showed some wear, but $39 isn't too bad. plus I got a couple $30 Nexo and Ninjago sets for $11.98 after the 50% plus 20%. Probably going to give those to the local children's home.

Kylo Ren Tie Figther (75179) from Target.  Price matched Toys R Us online, for $39.99, final price $37.99 plus tax (50% off, plus Redcard 5%).

One has a security sticker on it (last one they had in stock), so may just buy a minty fresh box from another store and return the sticker'd box.  Had to hit two separate stores.  Third store wouldn't price match competitor website until Jan 2nd.  I showed the manager the corporate policy, but still wouldn't budge.  I ended up calling the Customer Service help line, the CS rep said they should price match, but then when he looked up the TRU website it said out of stock online so he said he couldn't help.  Bah humbug.

I ordered 4 from Toys R Us this morning, paid with Paypal and it still shows processing.  I bought these fearing my TRU order will get canceled.

I haven't found security stickers to be an obstacle to selling sets. But it might be less hassle to just loosen the security sticker with a heat gun/hairdryer then pry it off. Worst case mix a couple tablespoons of baking soda with 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and rub some over any leftover adhesive.

I picked up Assault on Hoth #75098 this past Saturday at my local LEGO store. Was out to get my Gingi and they had it on sale for $175. Had $15 in rewards so I used that along with the free mini London bus offer. I should have gotten an extra 100 points according to website (bonus on any Star Wars sets), so I have to call about that. States cannot be combined with any other VIP offer. Maybe that is why it did not kick in?

Anyway, I've been wanting this set, but only if under $200.  I don't have any prior Hoth sets as I just starting collecting last Christmas.

Avengers Helicarrier with box, but without instructions in amazing condition (actually dust free, go figure) for $115 on craigslist.

Death Star, about 98% complete with box and instructions (missing Tarkin and Emperor, and some misc small pieces) for $100 on craigslist. 1/4 inch of dust thrown in for free.

Phasma wasn't on sale in the store, but all the other BHs were. Associate said it should qualify, but the register didn't, so he put in a manual points credit for me which should come through in the next few weeks.
I figured why not go bold and called LEGO CS to see if my $350 purchase would qualify for a London Bus (store was all out) and they're shipping me one with express shipping, even though that promo ended yesterday (I didn't know that). Score!

I tried something like this (hair dryer) on a B&N clearance set and it got silver sticker off, but left residue that wouldn't come off.  I haven't tried the baking soda/oil over the residue though.  I just put a post-it over the residue and told myself to never do it again, the sticker wasn't *that* bad.

My TRU order says "backordered".  I called Target CS and asked if they would do a price match to TRU.  He put me on hold came back and said normally they wouldn't price match on out of stock, but they would make an exception this one time.  So I placed the order (for 4 sets) and then he looked up my order and i heard a pause... and he said he needed to put me on hold.  Fearing the worst he came back on a minute later and said he credited my order the difference.  So I ended up with four sets at $43 each shipped. 

I'd like to go back to the store that wouldn't price match my 1 set because it was "Christmas season" and show her my order with a "how do you like them apples?"... but I know it wouldn't mean anything except to me.
