Glad everyone is getting their packages. Still need to ship out Jay and Deans but won't be able to do it till I get back in town later this week. A lot more work than what I expected but it was a win for BP that day!! Will go down in the history books of BP lore.

You should have kept some for yourself, unless that wasn't your plan in the first place. Nice of you though.

Should have, perhaps yes, but he pulled a Tabby and probably made $1000-$1500 instantly on that purchase. Not too bad for a less than 24hr hold. brickelements
What can I say. The opportunity was there. I think the price was fair. It was also lot of work for Lego Templar. By taking so many in one transaction I saved him from shipping items out to more recipients. That all sounds good, but in the end I am just greedy. Now the waiting game....how long will this be in production?

brickelements
I would guess more in the 550-650.00 range. You have to remember these were found in FL. Even shipping to the midwest was expensive. For the amount of work collecting money, boxes, packing, taking to post office or waiting for them to pick up....all of that took time. I appreciate the opportunity. I hope this set has a short life span.

Assuming he sold them for a $10-$15 markup (still 30% off for those who purchased), he had 100x of them, so $1000-$1500.

I seriously doubt he sold them for that much markup and time and shipping eats that up real quick. $5 each maybe, but I might be pencil whipped. I hope this set has a short life span. Alright, I was just trying to illustrate he made money on the deal in a short timespan. The amount he made is only known to Templar himself, and I hope it satisfies him. We all need to work for our LEGO money (packing, sorting, shipping, buying, driving), and most of us work too much on that part anyways, and only very few include that time into their calculations. If he made $500-$600, that's still not too bad on a $2.7k purchase for less than 24hrs.

Nice of you though. With the possibility of moving to NC in the next few months I'm trying my best to slow down on the pile ups lol. I found them because of BP (MinifigW) and bought them all for BPers. Hopefully people are willing to do the same in the future! Popular Post Lego Templar
I seriously doubt he sold them for that much markup and time and shipping eats that up real quick. $5 each maybe, but I might be pencil whipped.I lost money on some and made some on others. The people who bought 1-5 I lost money (or very close to break even) I sold the majority of them for 42 shipped, if they bought more than 5. I paid roughly 32.XX each after taxes. I charged 45 shipped for under 5. (Was a mistake on my end lol) 45-shipping-materials (boxes, tape, padding, etc) and some areas seemed to be a lot more to ship (I'm still new to the sipping game) same box, same weight, same everything. One was 32 to ship other 20. I didn't get out an excel sheet and crunch the numbers in my head as long as I passed 2,600 I was fine. With 90% of them already bought/shipped I just passed that mark. So really my last order will be profit I guess of a few hundred. Wasn't in it to make money but defiantly wanted something cover the time/energy (do you know how hard it is to juggle 2 shopping carts that are overflowing and need to go over multiple speed bumps!..lol) needless to say I will turn a small profit of a few hundred dollars and that's mainly thanks to the 2 people who bought more than 20! I could have easily made 3-4 what I did but like I've said I did it for the "team" not for myself. Went into that target expecting to buy 8-10...left with a 100!

Lego Templar
Where in NC? ...and yes: Someone order 150 for pickup at my target and lets see what happens. ;-)Not sure yet. My WO MAN applied for a job in Charlotte so I'm assuming (if she gets it) it will be outside of the city. Looking at potentially buying a brand new home. Soooooo cheap compared to south FL. Here you are lucky to get a decent house built in the 70s (a 3/2 maybe 2,500-3,000 SQFT) for 450-500,000. I'm looking at 6,00O square feet 6/5s brand new for 400,000 with a basement! I really want a basement and turn it into my own personal legoland! Lol...They are offering a really nice moving bonus so that's why we are thinking (if she gets it) to move up that way. We wanted ***,SC, NC so if we get paid to move there I'm all for it. Plus my mom and half of her family is in that area now.

donbee
@legotemplarDoes that mean south FL is open game? The Glades Truce Pact of 2016 is only valid if you live there. You forfeit all stomping rights if you leave the area.

Lego Templar
sounds awesome. hopefully it will work out for you. You'll be near not one but two Lego Stores! Thanks! If it ends up happening not looking forward to learning "new" stores. One thing I've learned over the past year of doing this is that stores can be very different when it comes to clearance. (Where they put them, times they mark down, inventory levels, etc) Walmart, TRU, target, etc.
botchy123
Too much non Lego stuff since Christmas, but did pick up today some today. 9 x 60107 Fire Trucks £ 6.75 each 5 x Poe Damerons @ £5 each
uaford
Picked up a used and complete 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle with all mini figures, instructions, and the box today on eBay for $345 and got $34.50 in eBay bucks. I have been stalking this one for a while hoping to get a complete one for $300 or less, so this was close enough I suppose. So excited to build this set!
