fossilrock
I've come to the conclusion the at-at and cantinas are going to be choked to the brim on ebay and amazon come christmas, and that's if they are gone at retail, which judging from my flip through on a walmart app recently doesn't seem likely. I'm sitting on a few of each myself, but i'm thinking its going to be a WHILE to make some cash on those, and my buy in was around 79 to 84 on the at-ats, and around 48 to 52 on the cantinas. Not to play debbie downer, but i'm not so hot on either anymore. Edited July 29, 2015 by fossilrock
zskid00
According to previous AT-AT sets this one should do just fine. Unless a UCS version is coming soon that is.Nice scores SOBEBELLA, but please get those sets off each other before the pile collapses. Also AT-AT and Cantina have only been out a year. If they disappear before Christmas it would be a miracle. They should both do fine in the long run, but you've got to have some patience in this game. Is the 75054 gonna be an AMAZING investment?I've been buying the Cantinas around $44-$50/ea (with shipping included) and the AT-ATs for under $90. I will hold for 3-4 years, no rush at all. Coming up to 150 of each and close to 100 on the Santa's Workshop and the village market. I held the Emerald Night and Holiday express for 3 years and did excellent last XMAS with them on ebay. Also unloaded a ton of the VW Beetle during that time as well. I always hold for 3-4 years - no rush - return is better than a bank account and the stock market (in most cases). I used monthly rental income to pay for my purchases, so it comes from passive income that I don't need monthly. Everyone invests differently. If I could find a good source for 1,000 of them at $44/ea - i'd jump!

This AT-AT was also selling above MSRP last Christmas when it went out of stock everywhere. I can understand the concerns about so many new investors in the marketplace but the second (or third) coming of Star Wars is upon us and LEGO is as popular as it has ever been. I have a question, a bit off topic, In your opening post here on this forum you said you were new to Lego selling and investing, you bought your friends stash, and he said "there is money in buying and selling lego" but now you've been doing road trips every October for Lego and video games and you sold Lego before. Not trying to start anything, just was wondering what's what. .

Not trying to start anything, just was wondering what's what. House72 - Fair question - I did buy a large stash off a friend, still untouched in storage. He is the guy who started me, saying there was money to be made. I was friends with him for years, so I decided to try buying TRAINS and VW. When I travel to buy video games I would always through legos in if people had them, mostly opened/used ones. I came across a large stash of VW beetles in Boyton Beach FL and I bought them. The Emerald Train my buddy said would be a good set I believe in 2010, so I just bought them when I saw them and held on to them. My eBay ID is THE-VIDEO-GAME-GALLEY I don't sell legos on it during the year, just during xmas. And I believe if you use Terapeak you will see last XMAS was my first year selling them. If you have other questions let me know. I deal in video games mainly. whoa whoa whoa, those hold times are reserved for one member and one member only....who? Haha 15 EctosCan you say what you paid for them?
