The Craigslist and Shopgoodwill gods have been shining on me this month. In the last week or two on CL I purchased Hogwarts Castle 4842 for $40, 98% complete with instructions, probably needs about $5-$10 worth of bricklink to make 100% and an open box w/ sealed bags Black Pearl for $90 along with a box of other Pirates of the Caribbean that appears to be most of the sets smaller than the Black Pearl for $20. Bad thing is those sets are glued and no instructions, good thing is looks like most if not all minifigs are there. I went a little deeper than I wanted to ($130) on a Shopgoodwill 30 pound lot that was showing some decent Star Wars, maybe a dozen minifigs and some plates. After a cursory dig I am at 50 minifigures, over half of which are Star Wars and the lot is very clean, probably no cleaning needed.

Purchased 4480 Jabba's Palace today from bricklink - perhaps from someone here even!  Paid market price for the set which I didn't mind in this case since I am completing my early era SW set collection and this is one major outstanding purchase I hadn't made yet.

I bought my first Grand Emporium for $200 off of ebay after a coupon and discounted gift card. Missed it during retail because I was in my dark ages. I don't think I'll be getting any of the modulars older than this set unless there's some sort of Lego market crash.

You can always trade with someone on Brickclassifieds.  That's a great way to obtain a set that you could otherwise not afford to purchase with cash alone.

Purchased my first Tower Bridge from LEGO Shop at Home.  I have no intention of building it right now but instead I want to save and build with my family around the holidays - just wanted to be sure I was able to purchase one at retail just in case...

I haven't been buying a lot lately but I picked up a 10190 Market Street with instructions for $460us on eBay.  Other than dust, everything looks good and original.

What was interesting was that I had just sold my 10190 locally (set only and for more than 460) and then lucked into this one less than a week later. :)

I also bought a FM with the TRU.ca sale and a United Nations from BN with 10+20 (no discounted gift cards until I figure out a way around the US only sales)

I picked up the 75038 as an Amazon Warehouse deal. Mainly so I could modify it by making it a blue one. I love the model and kind of doubt that TLG will be revisiting Ep III soon to update either of the Obi-Wan versions of that ship.

Used the TRU 25% off coupon, and a gift card, and bought a Battle of Five Armies set for 52.00 (retailed for 64.99).  This copy was for the personal collection.  It was the last one I needed for the hobbit collection, so now we "have  all of them".

Also cleared out a Jabbas Sail Barge at B&N.  the 15% discount coupon did not work, but I had a coupon that I bought for 18.3% discount, and the with the added 10% it came to about 95.00 after tax.  The sail barges are still in a few B&N in my area (I think there are 2 left out there), but they are diminishing..

Earlier this month, I also bought a Trex Tracker and Raptor Chase set using the 2xvip points.

That's all for this month.  I really am bored and waiting for some decent clearances or anything on the star wars 2014 summer wave...but other than b-wings, they are few and far between.  Maybe next month will have some discounts...

Found a 100% complete 9474 on CL. Talked the guy down to $130 CDN. Adult owned, built once and deconstructed for lack of display space. I'm buying it for the bricks to add to my already large Helm's Deep MOC. Since I won't need most of the duplicate minifigs (obviously need to keep those highly coveted Uruks to build the army up!), I reckon I can recoup most of my buy in flipping the minifigs alone. Haldir and Theodin+Horse seem to be going at $30 or more each!

Also bought another 3 Bike Shop & Cafe from TRU @ 20% off minus CineplexFeb promo (87.33 taxes in per). Better price than SaH had during May 4th. Probably return those two and exchange for a modular or a few Ectos.
