Got an oldie but a goodie today - the 5563 Racing Truck. Between this and the Unimog, I have a lot of building to do when I get home in a few weeks.

Yesterday at toysrus i picked up the 4x4 crawler and the unimog for bogo 50%. i checked prices online first. The 4x4 was listed for 200, the unimog for 210. Of course, when i got to the store i saw they were marked at 220 and 230, respectively. Ridiculous. I said, hey, manager man, you mark these up cuz you got a sale goin? He said no. I said bull. Match your own price, dude. And he did. So i walked out with both for 336, including tax. The 4x4 will be tooling around my son's bedroom soon, while the unimog... Well, I'll store it and see what happens in december.

Made my first ever purchase at the Lego store, a Monster Fighters Haunted House and got the double VIP points!

Swung past K-mart (Australia) to get some Easter eggs for the kids and they had a new box of CMF S9 out. A bit of time smooshing yielded 2 Hollywood Starlets, a Waiter and a Forest Maiden. Then I noticed they had the 10231 Shuttle Expedition in again so bought 3.

Why do Kmarts in other countries sound so much better than they are here..

I left 3 Shuttle Expeditions left on the shelf (I had my 20 month old daughter with me and she was cranky at waiting for my smooshing). I will probably end up going back and claiming them at some stage
