What Lego set did you buy today?

Recommended Posts

Oh yeah, I just realized that I didn't put the price on there. That's no fun. The lot was $200 total. Not an investment per-se, I'm going to build these with the kids, then hopefully re-sell them later for about what I paid for them (hopefully). It'll be fun either way.

That's a nice score. You'll get the money back no worries.

Between sale and clearance items, additional 25% off clearance, 15% cc coupon, $10 on $50 coupon, and mPerks rewards I managed to get my deepest discounts to date from Meijer last night.  I cleared out everything that one store had to offer, which only amounted to one cart full, but here's what I got - prices are after tax.  At these discounts, even I will buy Chima....

8 79016 @ $18.22 ($29.99 MSRP)

4 21006 @ $30.38 ($49.99 MSRP)

2 70163 @ $12.15 ($39.99 MSRP)

1 70143 @ $12.15 ($39.99 MSRP)

2 70808 @ $15.19 ($49.99 MSRP)

4 70144 @ $15.19 ($49.99 MSRP)

2 70145 @ $27.34 ($99.99 MSRP)

I celebrated by picking up a Chili Cheese Fry on the way home at 12:30 am.   :cheese:

At the Lego store in Rockefeller center, nyc.

Has anyone ever seen the Statue of Liberty minifig magnet set that has a Lego plate that says "I ?? ****** Y"?

They are exclusive to 2 stores I heard a employee say. $5.50 each. Selling regularly for $17-20. I bought 27 of them. They didn't care how many u bought but I did do it in multiple visits. And didn't use VIP. Didn't want any red flags. Also bought 3 Easter sets and 2 valentine sets.

It killed me to leave other valentine and Easter sets on the shelf. I was on foot and limited in space given were traveling via train and suitcase.

If your in nyc. Check it out. Other tourists were buying them 5 at a time as gifts I'm assuming. Very popular item as it was a cool cheap gift.

How many did you buy per visit? Did you leave the store and came back or did you just went back and get more and checked out with them seeing you doing it again?

I ordered a Lego Creative Suitcase set#10682 and I ordered it on Sun,Mar 01,2015 from BP member, and I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. He also Shipped my item very Quick!!!. I put an order in to Lego Shop@Home Canada and I purchased Lego Painting Easter Eggs set#40121 and a few Mixels from Series 4, and my Package arrived to my door on Mon,Mar 16, 2015. I also made a Purchase from WalMart.ca for a Lego Creator Aviation Adventures set#31011 2 weeks ago. Last week I had 1 set delivered to my local Chapters/Indigo and it was a Lego Creator Transport Helicopter set#7345 from 2012. I really enjoy this awesome set and it has a real Cool appearance to it look but I haven't built it yet though!. Maybe this weekend I'll have some time to build a set?.

I like the 3677 Red Cargo Train myself. It's one of those under-the-radar sets that does really well after EOL. I would like to build that set though...

I purchased this set from my Local TRU in Windsor I think it was on Aug 31, 2012 (I still have the receipt), and I absolutely love it. I even got it on sale for $179.99 + tax ($203.39 CAD), and it normally sold for a reg price of $219.99 + tax @Toys"R"Us Canada. So I got it for $40 off. A very nice set but I still haven't even built it yet!. Looking forward to building this set for sure!

Back on Jul 12, 2012 I went to my local TRU and was looking for that Red Cargo Train set#3677 because they had a 20% off all city sets, they had none left, and so I received a raincheck for 20% off reg price. I returned to the store on Thu,Jul 19, 2012 and they hadn't got any Red Cargo Train sets yet but they had 1 left of the Lego Cirty Yellow Cargo Train set#7939, and the Manager let me use my Raincheck towards the price. With my Raincheck I was able to purchase the Lego City Yellow Cargo Train for $192.00 + tax = $216.96 and so I received $47.99 off the regular price of $239.99. I was so excited and fortunate to purchase this set for such a good deal!.
