My buddy (AFOL, not an investor) wanted my help to prep and sell his Imperial Flagship (10210, with box and instructions).  Spent about 2 hours taking pics, cleaning, and disassembling.  Listed it as a BIN on eBay for $499.   We're very good friends, he said to just give him $380 when it sold, I'd keep the rest for eBay fees, shipping, paypal, and my time and use of my account.   Well, the kit is fabulous, as most folks know.  He owed my $100 for a Rush ticket purchase last month, and I said, why don't I just give you $280 and we call it all even?  He was thrilled.   Can't wait to rebuild this, especially since I just carefully washed all the parts.

Here's a few of the parts drying out before sorting.

Good deal all around and it's a gorgeous set, this reminds me that I need to pull mine out and build it again.

40158 Pirates Chess Set

I've been waiting in anticipation for a chess set and this is the first one to come out since I've started collecting.

I'm excited that it has some features that I love (pieces stored in board, board separates for storage.)

Buying my limit of this one.

How many are you up to now? Parting out some or gonna hold on to them to sell them complete?

For me - not enough. I'm going to get a few a month and just keep stocking up. For a $15 set, there's such a small risk.

I think it's going to be great to part out and to sell as a set. I don't think you can lose either way.

I think you may want to wait to part it out for now. After these sets retire, there will probably be demand for these. And, as the other movies get closer to release, we should see demand increase again.

I'm sure the minifigs they do for the sequel will be redesigns and not exactly like these.

Haters gonna hate 80 degrees in March.

Yes! I was very happy when it got above 32 degrees for the first time in at least a month. Unfortunately, this nice weather is not lasting for long.
