What Lego set did you buy today?

Recommended Posts

Are temple of lights all marked down? Or you stacking coupons/points?

$800 for a dinner is one thing. But the $7 breakfast platter at my MA and PA shop down the road keeps me happy all day long

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Brickpicker mobile app

Temple of Light is on sale for $51-52 on Kmart - $20 in promo - $5 in promo (don't know why it stacked) + $16 back in points. Cost out the door was $23 (I lowered it a few dollars by using leftover points) and I have $16 to spend on other things. I don't really want the set, it isn't in my holding plan but at $5-10 for this set, I can't lose.

Ex Astris, Scientia.

Well I bought 2 more TH's and 1 more R2 than what I need today.

Tying into that

Perhaps we should start a LAA forum on BP.

Lego Addicts Anonymous where we can seek community counseling and not have our ID show.

(I am not really suggesting that)

I don't read huffpo but I found this interesting article from earlier this year:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/25/lego-addiction_n_4854422.html

Then there is this - (feel free to update for affiliate link though I don't think anyone will buy)

http://www.amazon.com/Brickdiction-Seven-Recovery-People-Addicted/dp/1468083996

Or maybe you could buy it and show your significant other you are trying to keep level headed about what you are doing.

Wonder if the author of the huffpo article or the book is a BP Member?  heheh

Remember this Holiday Season - Friends Don't Let Friends buy Bad Lego Deals.

Find the best ones and focus on what your goal is (long term, short term) and what you would be happy with if on January 1st you were still sitting on it

That is all. :)
