Just got a text from FedEx saying my 10188 Death Star was left on the front step with no signature required. Hoping it doesn't rain and that the teenagers still on summer break in my neighborhood are sleeping until 5 PM (as they are wont to do).

Sad news for everyone expecting DS 10188 to go EOL - the unit that arrived in the mail today is from Mexico with a manufacture date of July 5, 2014. Supplier number on the EOL thread for this set.

$100 CL -  Minifigures Series 1 Complete Set...  :pleasantry:

Not too shabby. Someone here on my local area has been trying to sell a sealed set on Craigslist for $230 for some time now.

I just picked up Lord Business Evil Lair and Super Cycle Chase via a trade for two Umbaran MHC's (which I got 50% off at Target) plus a couple of CMF's. They're going into my collection.

Where did you buy those? If I may ask? If it is none of my business please tell me as well.

Set is a 'toy center' exclusive here in IT. I scored all my 21016 in such stores. These 4 i've got in florence. I've left one as box was damaged...,you can get it if you happen to stop by ;-)

I expect this to happen with the GE.  I don't think they will restock enough to last through early december, late november though.

How do you determine that specific of a date for manufacturing? I thought the 4 digit codes (27R4) would be that 27 week of 2014.

AMEX had an offer for "Get $20 statement credit when you spend $20 at amazon". I bought two Power Armor Lex's for $30 plus tax. After the $20 statement credit, out of pocket = $12.62. Love these offers.

Walmart had a TMNT Turtle Lair Attack (79103) on the shelf and despite not having faith in the line, I was thinking it might be a good investment set because of the two classic Turtles and Splinter. It didn't have a price tag on the shelf so I took it over to a scanner and it rang up $35.00. I checked Brickpicker on my phone and immediately bought it. I get such a rush from finding deals like this, lol.

that offer is not for every AMEX holder ... have to check your offers if it indeed was given to you ...

Bought a bunch of Series 2, 3, 4 and 5 minifigures today.  They were blind bags at $5 each, so I couldn't pass them up.  It was at a booth at Comic Con.  I sat there for a good 1 1/2 hours, smooshing bags.  I got really good at figuring out all of the figures that were there.

These were all for our personal collection.  Found a ton of figs appropriate for our Halloween Town and our Winter Village, which is really what I was after.  I think I've completed all the minifigs I want for those two projects now.  I'd rather smoosh for $5, than pay $10 for a skier or snowboarder.

Lol...and my fingers hurt from smooshing in my effort to help you. Haha

Too funny. I'm guessing you and I were talking about the graduate? Nice to meet you, wish I would have known it was you. Thanks for putting up with me for nearly 2 hours. I was determined. Had fun at your booth.
