mcortez
So I went to Target to get some city sets or princesses or creator and when I was procastinating in the clearance I see this 2 big lego boxes VW T1 10220 with clearance steakers going for $86 in perfect condition. Grab them ask the employee if they have more and nothing shows up, she looks surprise the cashier as well but anyway apply the 10% ending today for cartwheel + 5% Target card. Good day I would say. Take a closer looks at the "clearance" sticker and it'll probably actually say "Online" where it would normally say clearance. Online only items that get returned to stores, are auto-magically marked down approximately 30% and put out in the appropriate clearance section. This seems to be a target policy to deal with items they don't have shelf tags for and don't want to deal with in-store. I'd guess the pair were returned by a fellow brick picker the day before. Stevenplays
Bought another Gold Getaway at Walmart today for only 7. Hoped to get the King's Castle for a discount, but still at retail. Dragon Mountain was on sale, but already have one for my personal collection, and it was only 5 off or something. Also picked up an Unexpected Gathering for 45 aswell, good little opening scene to the Hobbit, can't wait for the Smaug's cave set... Hype train coming thru! Zachmire
Believe it or not but my local Wal-Mart had the Simpson minifigs out today for $2.97. Got 13 of the 16 I just couldn't live without.

Got 13 of the 16 I just couldn't live without. 2.97? Hopefully it stays this price at Walmart! It probably won't as they use the previous prices from similar items for a time(basically the time between when they recieve the product and it's release date) and then when the product should be officially released, the price resets to the correct amount. Hope I explained it right, had this happen to me with a battle pack before, the clone walker one, but it cost me only 9.99, instead of it's 11.99, and it wasn't even officially released at the time. BearCrash
Bought again: 4 x Creator 5770 Lighthouse Island How much did you pay for them? I have a couple of these and they're very hard to get rid of. Maybe I'm too impatient but I figured people would at least want to pay MSRP for it since it's already EOL for about a year now. But no...

Quacs
It just looks incredible from the box, which is a work of art itself. The best part about the box is it has the extra "flap" that shows more artwork of the set. I miss the days when sets came with that second front cover that lifted to reveal some of the best aspects of the set in nifty blister packs behind a transparent plastic cover.

brickelements
Ah the barracuda...my all time favorite vintage pirate set. Great build. 6286 was a slight improvement but 6285 was the first and holds a special place in my collection. I still have mine from 1989 only built a half dozen times. Great condition. I have since bought and sold many others. It is nice to see the values starting to pick up for the vintage ships. I only have a few...heh...more like 6 - 6285 and 5 - 6286. I noticed the schooner was rarer a long time ago only average 2-4 listed on ebay at time. I think if the new pirate theme comes to be it will only enhance the value of the vintage sets as those collectors among us will want to have ALL the pirate ships, not just the new one. With the love POTC has received in the secondary market a new pirate ship will be smoking hot for set flippers early. Should be a good seller if it is built with more detail like 10210. Just my overstated 16 cents worth. Any photos of the new pirate series sets?
Quacs
Where did you score this thing? I wish I had - I just used a web image to demonstrate the beauty of the old boxes. I have a BSB at home from when I was a kid, but the box is LONG gone. I did just get these three boxes with my CL deal:
inversion
Finally the only LEGO store in Hungary issued a 50% clearance (extremely rare here). I noticed on their FB page 30 minutes after they put it up. I immediately phoned in (I am friends with one of their employees) to put away 1 from each LotR/Hobbit set since I am reluctant to pay full price for non-exclusives. Well, they were gone. A guy went in and spent 2000$ worth of money to buy them all. Lucky for him. I bought a Guggenheim, Burj Khalifa and christmas tree poly for my WV.
