biniou
I meant the 70812, but the same applies to set 70813 The problem with these two sets is that they are not 2 in 1, so I think it will not help. A 2 in 1 firetruck (70813) would have be a definitive winner. Well, it's the spirit of the movie to make your own with the bricks, I guess. Bernard74
Whether these sets will be good investments is a bit of a gamble in my opinion. But I wouldn't mind just keeping the Creative Ambush for myself if it does disappoint. I like the biplane and it provides good parts if I ever want to MOC a saloon for a western town I might someday make along with some Lone Ranger sets. And it has cannons, can never have enough of those considering they were on short supply on my POTC ships. The micromanager and flying kebab stand are okay but nothing special. Ciglione
Just bought a death star troopers set at lunch. Is to combine with my DS. Was 9,95 euro only.
exciter1
Went out on a limb and bought 90 Mixels last night at midnight to take advantage of 2x VIP.
stoltzjl77
I've been wondering about Mixels - they seem to be sold out in all the retail stores around me. I haven't bitten yet, but if I see any on sale I'll probably take a chance. The first wave sets could be under-produced with some arbitrage opportunities. I bought my 2nd SSD today, with 2x VIP points. Also got a lemonade stand to get the outdoor bakery poly.

I have noticed the Creative Ambush is hard to find. I've seen it at TRU and nowhere else - in fact, though it was displayed at the last LEGO store I visited, it wasn't on the shelf! That and the Sea Cow are the only two we don't have for our personal collection yet. Planning to get the Sea Cow once all my VIP points kick in after the 2X buying spree. Double posted so I edited this one for new content - my children insist that there has to be a full Saloon set coming out, Haunted House size/style. I wish they were right because that would be very cool. Edited April 1, 2014 by stoltzjl77
Brickbuilder.g
Creative ambush is target exclusive and I've seen it in the last but it's recently dried up here.

I didn't know what to think of the sea cow till, I saw in in person at the Lego store. You can argue the investment value. It looks impressive and to be a fun build. stoltzjl77
Large. Exclusive. Pirate Ship. Major set piece in a hugely popular movie. Contains exclusive minifigs. I'm not saying buy 50 of them (especially not this early in the life cycle) but it's hard to see how it wouldn't be a winner.
stoltzjl77
And yeah, I'm not going to let my kids build that one. That one is for Dad, though they can play with it when I'm done.
sadowsk1
Picked up one fire helicopter and the friends penguin playground for the free polybag. Pretty sweet deal.
sahminnj
Wanted to wait till May the 4th but bought my son's Death Star that he has been asking for since he was 3. I still think he is too young to play with it but feel better having it in the basement waiting for him to save his money then risk it retiring this year. Also got the Friends Penguin set for the free polybag.

naf
Bought a HH and GE for double VIP. Wanted to wait till May the 4th but bought my son's Death Star that he has been asking for since he was 3. I still think he is too young to play with it but feel better having it in the basement waiting for him to save his money then risk it retiring this year. Also got the Friends Penguin set for the free polybag. My wife and I have been discussing getting this set, as our 6 yr old has been asking for it. However, I think he's a bit too young yet, and he still abuses his Lego too much to get him anything that expensive. If we buy it and wait to give it to him, he may not even be into it down the road. Alpinemaps
When you get that Haunted House, open it. Build it. Display it. Play with it. You know you want to! Yes, yes you do. It's an awesome build. I love ours!
cwixom
April fools!!! Worth a shot. BTW - Has anyone purchased the "Juniors" DC Lego sets looks like the minifigures are all the same as the big boy sets. Seems like a good price point to part out. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Batman-Defend-the-Batcave-10672?fromListing=listing http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Spider-Man-Spider-Car-Pursuit-10665?fromListing=listing

@rtisan
Went out on a limb and bought 90 Mixels last night at midnight to take advantage of 2x VIP. That is quite a bet! They`re pretyt neat looking though, I think Lego did a good job making whatever they are supposed to be Worth a shot. I`m concerned about the Venom though, as to what impact this set will have on the $20 one.
