PS: Wrong thread for this and your post Whoops, read "buy" not "build". Seller did send closeups of the logo on the bricks, no instructions though. @mods, can you move this to the correct thread. The seller cleaned it up before sending it on its way which earned 5 stars on top of the ridiculously low price. 4 Quote

Popular Post vincevaughn Posted November 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2019 Well it was a few weeks ago now but wanted to share. Secured a vintage LEGO castle collection on Craigslist. 99.9% of every vintage castle sets ever released (plus some doubles, 105 sets total), all the western indian sets, bunch of Heroica, bunch of random instructions, pieces, minifigures and boxes. Well cared for from a collector who decided to move on. The crown jewel is a pristine boxed Yellow Castle. Been hunting for that one for a looooong time. Currently re-examining my life to determine how the heck I got to this point 23 Quote
waddamon Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 The other guy already examined and ended up selling to you. Nice haul. Quote
LegoWalker4 Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 Recently I bought the 75082 TIE Advanced Prototype for $10 at a flea market complete with the minifigures. It pairs nicely with the 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. The thing I like about the prototype set is the mechanism that shoots the flick missiles as opposed to manually shooting them that is more commonplace on other sets. I also recently bought the Pet Shop modular for $100 complete and with the instructions on Craigslist for my daughter who now has her own room (she was sharing a room with her twin brother). She incorporated the series 19 pooper scooper minifigures in it nicely! 1 Quote
LegoWalker4 Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 Bought 3 City Harvester Transport sets at Target, got them to price Walmart for $16.60 each (told me they were only supposed to price match one next time after the fact) and got the $10 gift card. The McLaren Senna set is for me! Quote

I'm guessing but classic personal collection type of purchase...get the Bugatti b4 retirement and fall in love w/ the Rover (even tho likely will be discounted more later). I liked the Rover when it first came out and then liked it more when I saw the big and heavy box...but ultimately, I am not that into the source material...although LEGO executed the build marvelously, it's still a car that will more likely have a privileged soccer mom driving than anyone else. LegoWalker4 Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 Thanks to the BP community being on the ball this morning about the Target sale and it was a somewhat expensive day for me. I finally got my half price Kessel Run Millennium Falcon and did not even have to hide it in the furniture section (I have not done that and would never do it)! I followed exciter1's preferred method for the bar codes up in the cart. It does save time. 3 Quote
TANV Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 I got me a UCS Hulkbuster this morning from LEGO. I've had my eye on it for awhile. Anyone called in to CS to see if you can get a GWP with that or anything? Quote
kaharris83 Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Picked up some of the LEGO Black Friday sets from Walmart on clearance already. Only let me order 2 for in store pick up at $7 each and system appeared to show only 1 more available at the store. Arrived to find 18 more waiting. Quote

t_mafia Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Bought a Boeing Dreamliner locally for $150. Not an amazing deal, but I have wanted it forever. This particular sale included the box and instructions, and the box especially seems to be somewhat rare for sales on both eBay and BL. 1 Quote
Popular Post brickvoyeur Posted December 5, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 5, 2019 Watched an item on eBay for months entitled "3 Star Wars Legos Sets With Mixed Pieces (Some Pieces May Be Missing) ". Listing contained 75059 Sandcrawler, 75060 Slave I, and 75095 Tie Fighter. Listing started at close to $500 and slowly dropped. Listing dropped for over two months and eventually was sitting there at $185+$35 shipping. eBay sent out that "we screwed up sending you that better coupon, so here's one not as good" for 10% off, so I figured I would finally message the seller. Seller says she knew nothing about Lego or Star Wars. I explained to her what a minifigure was and if she could pull them all out of the box and take a picture of them. Turns out, every figure was there, plus a few extra. So I asked her to change the price from $185+$35 shipping, to $220 with free shipping so I could maximize the coupon. I ended up paying $213.20 after tax, plus $22 in eBay bucks back. I broke down and inventoried everything over the last couple days, and all 3 UCS sets were complete. It also included a complete (less minifigures) Ecto 1 and a Snowspeeder Microfighter. 11 Quote
TANV Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 I bought two of the 80103 Dragon Boat Races since it's likely retiring soon. Got me the 40337 Gingerbread House with them! WOOHOO! Quote

Shortbus311 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Saw a brand new sealed 21146 for MSRP at a random store today ... Nice! This set has been my biggest money maker by far this season. I was lucky enough to find a ton still on the shelves after noticing Ebay prices shoot up last summer. Quote
