What Lego set did you buy today?

Recommended Posts

So I won't get anything, huh?  That sucks.  It would be nice if they just threw something in there.  Magnet, magazine, some bubble gum, stickers.....something.

That's what bulk lots are for. You can get all sorts of assorted freebies, like loose change, or used gum, and sometimes even a book.

Mine wasn't today. It was actually saturday. Picked up a few Death Star Trooper battle packs at Walmart for $9 each, a Phantom for $20 and a Cantina for $49 then hit Toys R Us for 6 Rocket Raccoon polys. Later that night, my wife surprises me with Imperial Troop Transport, Shadow Troopers pack, Senate Commandos pack, Geonosis Troopers pack, a Lego Employee poly and a UCS Tumbler!! Also snagged a few sets off ebay for reasonable, The Ghost for $60, B-Wing for $37 and just last night, a Benny's Spaceship for $65. :)

Not to mention a nickle and some mega bloks pieces!

Seriously, I've found a brand new ipod nano and various nintendo ds games hidden amongst the assorted lego, rusty nails, and k'nex.

My wife wants to start a website with pictures of all the weird stuff you find in lego lots. I seem to be getting a lot of foam darts recently, potato chips, and my favorite- mulch. Really?

Sent from my SPH-L710 using Brickpicker mobile app

I should post a picture of something I found in one of the lots: folded medical bandage tape with a stain that appears to be dried blood, punctured with nail....

2x Dead 5 at TRU... Woohoo!  I scored before the F5 madness.  Managed to save a skosh by using some promo dollars and ~9% Raise GC.  I'll take what I can get at this point but it doesn't compare to the early days of March 2014 when Target was offering these things for $150.

This method of acquiring GC through Raise can be quite addicting. :shifty: I've only recently adopted this tactic to save some cash and I must say it is quite pleasant.  I was sweating bullets there for a moment wondering how long it would take to process my Raise order - I purchased them about an hour ago to beat the early inventory depletion predictions.

Just loaded up on more city mines from TRU clearance. They had 20 but one had a big cut on the top of the box, probably from an employee cutting open the cases, so I came away with 19. Great price point when you stack the clearance, 20% coupon, and 10% credit promo. I've sold a few of these already this past holiday season, so I'm stoked to get a few more.
