What Lego set did you buy today?

Recommended Posts

Bought two SW Series 1 Microfighters (ISD and TIE Interceptor) for my son's room.

Bought 30202 Friends Smoothie Cart polybag for my daughter.

I realized I should have bought at least one more for myself, for the Fairground Mixer.  If these ever go on sale (day after Valentine's Day?), I'm loading up on these to sell with the Fairground Mixer.

I found a random City Cargo Train 60052 on clearance at WalMart about an hour away for $139.  I expect it was an order return.  I tried to resist, but that one was too hard to pass up.

If anyone is seeing these at that price and doesn't want them, please let me know.  I am looking to get as many of these as possible to expand my personal train lines in my house. We can arrange a trade in BT/purchase in BC.

One set of Series 4 Mixels at Target 44.98

1 Family House Target $35.00

6 Rocking Horse Polys TRU (1.98 each)

1 Bricktober Town Hall TRU 9.98

3 Rockefeller Center B&****** 35.99

1 Farnsworth House B&****** 53.99

1 Guggenheim Museum B&****** 35.99

1 Fallingwater B&****** 89.99

Unfortunately my Barnes and Noble coupons wouldn't work for the Architecture sets, but finding the Guggenheim made up for it.

this has been reported at numerous walmarts by brickpickers.

i picked up one at that price too on Monday.

this is a killer deal.  i would buy everyone of these i could find at 139.

red5s from walmart came in their own boxes for once and were in great shape.

TRU in store? Did they finally find them and bring them out of the back room? It might be time to make a run. I've been waiting for these polys to make an appearance. I'm not a big poly bag guy, but I like this one.

negative.  Lego Discovery.  Last time this happened was with the Snowman Poly.   A week or so later Target got them for there promo.

Interested to see if these go to Target next instead of TRU.  Codes were 41R4 so they've been made for some time now.  Should start hitting somewhere soon based off of last time.

Thanks for the intel. You saved me a trip. Unfortunately I don't have any lego stores or discovery centers in my neck of the woods.

30 Joker Bumper Cars

Nicely done.

Bought three sets of Mixels series four and the box!

Awesome!

SoCal continues to disappoint right now.  Nothing of note on sale.  I stopped by a Target and TRU on my lunch hour.  Definitely no Joker Bumper Cars (I know, it's not a LL Discovery Center, but I was still hopeful), and definitely none of the sale prices the rest of you are finding.

Typical for SoCal though - they don't need to discount things here.  Or just minor discounts.  Things sell quick enough at 10% off that they don't need to go to 50% off.

same here , clearances do not last past the 15 most the time, by the time any 30 hits its Chima & Ninjago

seems to be the way in the bigger cities.  We have access to more exclusives which is nice but you lose out on the clearance / sale deals.  More rural areas seem to get way better clearance but don't have the luxury of multiple LEGO stores.

In the end it keeps it balanced and makes the market good for a wide variety of people.

Just ordered 60 sets from LEGO Shop at Home sale::

10x 850913 - Fire & Ice Minifigs

10x 40112 - Model Catwalk

10x 850581 - Friends Brick Calendar

10x 850791 - Minifg Birthday Set

10x 850910 -  Chima Minifig Set (Shock Horror - I've bought my first ever Chima !!!)

10x 850939 - Santa Set

Judging by recent selling prices, these should be a good 3x-4x flip next Xmas.  Since they are small sets, I can post free from my allowance at work and still charge the buyer for P&P ;-)

Bought a Jabba Sail Barge (75020) from Target Clearance.  Box was opened but this is pretty much the last one around here (Detroit) I figured  I would grab it.

I went to the counter and did an inventory check in front of the Customer Service rep and everything was there. It was.

So then I asked if they could do a discount and she got her manager to say "Yes" to a 10 percent discount so I had the Customer Service rep ring it up.

She almost used the 30% discount tag on the box so I directed her to use the UPC on the box and boom - $59.99.  Take 10% off that  and we got to 53.99.

Then I pulled out my Red card and another 5% off   and now we are $51.29.

May have to part it out to make a buck but at that price, even open, I can't go wrong.

The Target Clearance sales were picked over around here on Thursday but I have found a few things if I know where to look.
