redghostx
Nice deal. I need to use your travel agent because all I ever come back with is sunburn. I have that too, comes at no charge. (: If I am driving somewhere for my vacation, I always check the local ads as you never know what is out there - especially in smaller towns. trekgate502
I bought a Jet Rocka for myself from Target for $17.50. I can go back and get a cart of them for resale. I just don't think the margin would be there any time soon.
nolanfan34
Broke my Chima rule and bought two of the Chima 2-in-1 packs from a TRU while on vacation. For $33 each couldn't pass it up. Of course one of them is getting opened and built by my son already. I still am not a fan for long term investment, but the figures and sets sure have some great figures and pieces. gorbasho
Power Lex from TRU for $9.19 after stacking everything, down from a crazy shelf price of $27.99 (!!!)
legodelorean
Power Lex from TRU for $9.19 after stacking everything, down from a crazy shelf price of $27.99 (!!!) What coupons did you stack? I only have a 20% off coupon and that doesn't even get it below $20. I'd have better luck on Amazon for $15.

Sign up on the mailing list and you should get them in the mail. I don't know how to get additional coupons and stack them to get killer deals. legodelorean
If I was you, snag as many as you can at $15. Thanks for your advice. What about the Spidey Cycle chase and Arctic Batman? These would all be from Amazon.
exciter1
Thanks for your advice. What about the Spidey Cycle chase and Arctic Batman? These would all be from Amazon. I would go ahead and get some of each of those as well at the current price, but go a little heavier on the Arctic Batmans. You may be able to find some Spidey Cycles at Wal-Mart and Kmart when they start clearancing them for $13.50 or so, but the Arctic Batmans might disappear too quick and I wouldn't risk missing them. Where do you even get coupons for TRU? I never see them. I assume he used reward $$$.

Ciglione
Ok... I went on a trio today with the Mrs and kids. We went to look for (little) toyshops we have never been. I bought: a 75017 geonisos duel at 50% off (box is brute) and got a TC-4 (yes, the cursed one) for free. As I am a little fetish I asked if I could get more. But the lady behind the counter refused. Maybe it is better this way. At the next shop I found and bought a 7641 Street Corner (MISB). I could not believe my eyes. Paid half of the brickpicker value. So I was very content. At the last shop I bought 5883 Dino (NISB) and a 3771 duplo train (NISB from 2005) for my son. What a neat train! It comes with sound also! So I am very happy with this fruitful trip. I checked a couple of the Targets around me and they either don't have it or they do have it but it's not on sale.

I wish I would have bought up all the Wolverine Choppers that I could at $17.99 and I was scrambling to buy as many as I could at $19.99 before they disappeared. I'm not saying buy all that you can, I'm just saying buy 5 or so and that's still under $100. If they jump to $50 in a year, you've already doubled your money. I have to go take advantage before my coupon expires. The price match negates the coupon, so you can't do both. It's YMMV, sometimes a manager will override and allow it. I think this is where Bricklegacy's advice comes in. Take 10 hours or so and read the forums. All of this stuff has been discussed before, ad nauseam. I think this is where Bricklegacy's advice comes in. Take 10 hours or so and read the forums. All of this stuff has been discussed before, ad nauseam. I have been trying to read the forums, go to old posts to educate myself, etc. I know some members on here get irritated when people ask questions because they think that people are trying to get a quick answer and be lazy and that is definitely not what I am trying to do. I am trying to educate myself and not look for an easy way out or a free ride. Being educated will only help me in the future, so I do make sure to read up and learn more everyday. I do thank you for your advice on the Power Lex's and Arctic Batman sets. It's nice to get a little advice from a more seasoned investor. Thanks again for your time. I have to go take advantage before my coupon expires. As was stated, TRU price matching negates any coupons. However, some managers *might* provide an override, but it's very YMMV. TRU couponing is definitely a learned skill. TRU marks sets as "hot priced" which prevents coupon usage, but "regular" markdowns or clearance are good to go for most coupons. Getting the TRU credit card will give you an extra 10% off that you can stack with your coupons every Thursday. You can stack multiple $10 off $50 coupons, but you need to spend $50 for each coupon you use (you can use 1 coupon for an order between $50 and $99.99, 2 coupons between $100 and $149.99, etc). If you use your 20% off coupons first and it brings your total order below $100, you can only use one $10 off $50.

I've been successful using 20% off coupons along with 2 x $10 off $50 coupons on items $80 - $100, just saying.
