amtrak23
No worries, no smoke came anywhere near these. I was simply trying to fill the table with the 5 cases I just picked up, and was trying to do it in hurry before the kids came back outside from the house. Table was cleared of all contraband and the crackfest ensued. Don't assume things from a photo. Tsk tsk.

It's just good to note, for everyone, that appearances count, whether it's by sight, smell, box condition, loose pieces, missing pieces, auction pictures, backgrounds, lighting, etc. It can all cost in the end. naf
I just returned a new/sealed Tower of Orthanc I purchased on EBay that smelled like cigarette smoke. They even had the top plastic wrapper and foil discarded in the LEGO box they shipped it in. That's classy.
Darth_Raichu
I think outsourcing smooshing to retirement homes would be a great benefit to all. And if you complete one whole set and have them physically in front of you your smoosh rate increases 10 fold...easily. First time smooshing and I went 16 for 18 and it took about an hour. The Simpsons CMFs are ridiculously easy to smoosh compared to the regular CMF. I recently got a good amount of random CMF series 9 packs and those are a challenge. Between the helmets/hair and similar accessories, lol. I was spoiled by the Movie and Simpsons CMF :D :D
MartinP
Went to a garage sale today and bought a 3920 The Hobbit; An Unexpected Journey Game for $1. It was a good deal. The box and instructions were included and all I have to do is check to see if it complete.

brickelements
box and instructions included with both....$240 for both Awesome deal. Jelly. On another note the daily deals section alerted me to a ebay seller with Super car 8070, Unimog and excavator all open, complete, used...working on the last piece 8043 to buy all three. So far 170 for the unimog, 120 for the super car accepted, and trying to get the excavator 8043 for 180 - $470 total+shipping.. Minus $20 ebay coupon. Not stellar deals but I would like to build them.

redghostx
Bought an ice cream machine to go with my Lego movie (Target promo after price match) Has anyone built this set or part it out? Ex Astris, Scientia.
brickelements
Looks like a used lot of: 8070 Super Car, 8043 Excavator and 8110 Unimog for $500 shipped not a daily deal but these sets will provide hours (around 24 hours I suspect) of building fun. Cheap enough to build then re-sell/recycle and not loose money. Win win. I love this game.
Baseace
Lego 70114 Sky Joust for $13 at WMT. It was a decent deal, but if it doesn't appreciate my kiddos love them. We will see...

terrymc4677
I picked up a Chi Temple from TRU for $54 and had my Mega Block Halo: UNSC Mammoths price adjusted for the extra 10% off today. I then proceeded to come home, park in the driveway, unload my daughter and our dinner. I was going to then back the truck into our garage. Yep, I left the door open on my daughter's side after unloading her. I totally bent the door backward after going a couple feet too far with the door open. I messed up both doors and the inside of the passenger rear door. Our house is brick, so it didn't hurt the house or garage, thankfully. So, any cost savings are negated 100 fold. Such as life, yeah me! You could probably fix that with a few technic pins.
matt1147
Finally picked up my imperial flagship 10210 (assuming seller ships ok). It was about 1 year ago that I became active on these forums and said "that set will be mine one day". Waiting 1 year probably cost me $50-$100 in price. Word to the wise, if there are any retired exclusives out there that you "must have" best to pull the trigger on a decent price rather than wait! ;-)

I must have a 10179 Mf, but I'm not ready to spend $1500+ on a Lego set, yet. let me know when you are ready. my 10179 with a 2,700ish 1st edition cert (regular non-1st edition box though) will be up to sale soon anyway, i sold my 7783 Batman 1 Batcave (complete. no box) last sept for a small profit and regretted it since. i was just able to pick-up a used one w/ the box and unused sticker sheet. this "upgrade" cost me about an extra $25. bought a 99% complete Batman 1 Scarecrow set. all but 2 gray gray elements are there (pic below). the set could also use a new dark blue cape for batman. picked up a 99% complete harry potter 4842 hogwarts express set for $110. instructions and box were included. new castle 70402 The Gatehouse Raid for $19 complete in box 7627 Indiana Jones Temple of The Crystal Skull for $75 . Very tempting, but I don't think that I'm anywhere near ready to spend that much money. Anyways, I went to an estate sale this morning. I got there early and was one of the first people in the house, and I was able to buy a 6399 Airport Shuttle. I bought it for $30! I can't wait to build this set. I'm hoping everything is there.
