Diabolos80
Woo-hoo! I'd like to thank my parents for not liking videogames, which convinced me to devote more time to them. And the girls in junior high who ignored me, so I didn't have a busy schedule and could play more games. And my buddies who lent me copies of most of these games, because my parents wouldn't buy them and I was too busy gaming to get a job Seriously though, gaming is probably still my favorite hobby (sorry Lego), and this quiz was a whole lot of fun. Thanks Orc! YouDaMan!
TheOrcKing
Basically as the title asks. What are your favorite works of art? It can be anything from paintings to sculptures, from pencil sketchings to pixels. A couple of my art picks would include M.C. Esher with his captivating perspective pieces or Salvador Dali with his bizarrely intriguing masterpieces. M.C. Anything by Esher especially the optical illusions. Also 3D pavement art.100%, yes. Now to add something else to the topic, here is one recent mindblowing example of why I love pixel art so much aside from my own geekness. Alpinemaps
I know next to nothing about art. And although it's probably gotten pretty cliche the last couple of years, there's something about Van Gogh's Starry Night that makes it one of my favorites:

Guest eightbrick
Sounds sorta predictable (EDIT: lol I see now me and alpine used the same word choice) given his more mainstream status now but I'm a Banksy guy. Blek le Rat is excellent too. New subtopic: Street Artists: love 'em or hate 'em? Anyways, has anyone else been hearing about this Australian girl who is really famous (I think she is like four or five) for making abstract paintings? She's sold a painting for 24, 000 bucks and so young http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aelita_Andre

Haha, I sorta want to open my TIE now, but the price finally turned around so too bad for me As far as Lego artists, I think all MOCers are technically artists, but sculpture/mosaic wise, Nathan Sawaya is great. Here's one you might like Alpine:

TheOrcKing
Mechwarrior is filled with a countless amount of light to heavy assault mechs; all of which are fantastic in design and weaponry. Anyway, I remember coming across this one artist not only with a great artstyle but he also captures the essence of the mech in action on the battlefield rather well.
