I read this earlier and was quite surprised there re releasing these dinos and not doing something new.

I can't imagine this is the best way forward. Surely producing some new dinos would be in there best interest, I mean what buyer who already has these dinos will purchase these sets, that takes out a lot of potential business to them.

Seems to be a big mistake re doing them all especially the one that's just retiring, surely this is a joke.

Re releasing similar or exact sets seems to becoming a real theme at Lego, maybe this is just the way forward for them, which will basically kill the investors.

Why make a new mold when you can just re-color it?

LEGO recycling molds is nothing new.  The target market for these sets age out every few years and replaced w/ new kids.  I would think about a third to 2/3 of all sets are recycled in some fashion...some more obvious than others.

Think it’s more the sets as a whole. How many ‘escapes’ are we going to have TRex escaped like 10 times already.

no different from the recycled movie plots...imo

same movie same sets...no surprise there

Because a new one would sell miles better?

I would certainly want new ones but only lego knows the dollars and cents behind each action. I can only hope they are in new colors and not the same as previous ones.

That's how the movies have been all these years, I don't care much for the sets really and doubt collectors do as well. For those that I popped open it was simply for the dinos. I'm actually sitting beside a triceratops outside Weasleys Wizards Wheezes and a T-rex in Barracuda Bay now. 😛

If it's not a different colour I would of thought they would just keep in on the shelfs instead of retiring it to only bring it back.

It must sell pretty well as it's rarely ever discounted much in the Uk and Lego has it backordered even though according to all sources apparently its no longer in production lol.

Lego is becoming a quick-flipper in its own right.  They are way more focused on consistently bringing new product to market now than they ever have been before.  In previous years, they had maybe 3 big release dates during the year...this year, they have something like 6 or 7.

5 sets retiring seems a lot?

If true SF and Dubai retiring so soon would be some kind of record

this list makes no sense to me, but what do I know...
