this list was pretty accurate save for a few sets such as for the Milf or the droid set originally scheduled to retire in 2021-12 (then again I didn’t track all sets as meticulously as some of you might have)

What’s the prognosis on the Millenium Falcon?  Thoughts on when itll retire?  I think folks were speculating it would earlier this year (like me) but I don’t think it’s been on any list to date.  Is this accurate?  I bought one earlier this year and someone I know is interested in taking it off my hands.  I don’t normally sell LEGO but figured a quick $100-200 would be nice to help offset the cost if I can buy another one.  Then again, it’s out of stock in all places I can find and would hate to miss out on it if it suddenly is retired.  Any thoughts are much appreciated!

That is interesting.  I use" the brick fan "for plenty of info but if they are going off info of a lego store that has these on a shelf that says last chance to buy like in their picture ,I wouldn't be so sure that it's a solid retiring soon sign. I'm pretty sure other not retiring sets have seen those shelves. That my 2 cents.  I sure will be watching for other retiring signals now though.

I'm surprised roller coaster wasn't on previous lists, as would think all sets with power functions should be getting retired.

I have not seen those signs in my local LEGO store.  Furthermore, I had asked specifically about the Roller Coaster and was reminded that LEGO typically keeps two amusement park sets in stock at the same time; I.E. Haunted House and Roller Coaster.  Since the Haunted House just came out, that means the Roller Coaster should end summer 2021. 

Now whether or not LEGO is able to produce a lot of the Roller Coaster before then, only time will tell.

Coaster doesn't actually include any power function components. just has an easy way to add a motor.

the old motors are retiring-sold out.  not sure if new motors are as easy to incorporate.

I read the thread very late. I agree with you the Bugatti should have been removed. Frankly, I have the impression that sales have been lax for a long time, I do not understand how Lego can leave it still in the catalog unless the stocks are too large and difficult to sell?

In fact, it was setup to work with the boost motor and sensor.  If using your personal device the roller coaster has "scream" sounds as if the minifigures are riding the coaster.  You can't help but laugh every time the car goes down the big hill.  Very entertaining.

Funny, it doesn't work as well when both sets of cars are running.  When car one is half way down the coaster and car 2 hits the sensor, the sound effect resets.  So you only get half of the sound effect.  It's better with only one car running.

I think more than that is just them assuming that the tags at one particular LEGO store can be relied upon 100%.
 

Not saying they are not retiring as I personally have no way of knowing other than what most people here have access to anyway, but unless I saw the tags on S@H or on multiple LEGO stores across the country I’d be skeptical

My prediction for the Roller Coaster is that it retires this year and rereleases in blue. 😆
