RRP doesn't really matter.  My customers are not thinking - "Wait, what did this retail for in 2017!?!?!?"

You are buying @ a certain price expecting an acceptable return based on a myriad of factors.  For people who know what they're doing by paying attention and completing their homework, picking smaller sets that will perform well post retirement is not exactly a mystery.

I meant buy-in against RRP.

lol how does anyone prove their success.

large set investing caters to person-to-person sales at fairs, craigslist where fees don't eat up at least of third of the purchase price and there's no dbag undercutting u a penny 2 booths down.

small set investing caters to short-medium term investors who can sell hundreds of different sku at once fba and sell and ship 100s of items a day for explosive cagr with minimal effort but requires insight into predicting winners which isn't that hard if u been doing this awhile & pay attention to variables such as sales rank on amazon or seller count.  stock outages.  etc.

meantime, this thread has gone off the rails ...

totally agree with the last line..

perhaps this could be some hint for the admin bros to incorporate into a "grey heart" icon a new symbol suggesting "off topic" submission - which could later on help them to set up some automatic clearing mechanism?

a thread without any conversation isn't great either.  Least people talking about something somewhat retirement related helps keep it busy.

on topic some of these speculated retiring sets will have a nice hefty discount with a nice promo in a few weeks.  That should bring some excitement to the thread.

I see it the same way as you..but honestly.. wouldtn you mark several comments in this thread (during past week) as totally off? The methodics on which basis to rule out such comments would be totally on the admins. .be it "too many dislikes" .. or some proportional ratio between the dislikes and time stamps..

Black Friday-ing 10243's isn't a bad idea. Your example was maximal exploitation/fees.

I probably won't buy any, I have 3 sets I focus on right now, going deep on those. PR has to be 120 or lower for me to touch it.

ooooo do tell which 3.

Successful people keep their mouths shut most of the time because they are too busy being successful.

except to waste time on here with cryptic posts, just attention seeking and cock-waving.

It's not advantageous to share anything here. If someone loads up on a set you bought, it's a clear loss.

don't be ridiculous.

why even bother posting anything then, 90% of the people here are dotted all over the globe. buying 20 harry potter sets in london wont affect bugger all in london let alone usa, europe etc.

It can be very advantageous to share under some other scenarios you aren't thinking about....
