Confirmed by the actor Kevin Layne on his instagram

Well, yes and no. He posted an image of a minifigure. That doesn’t mean TLG actually started printing new boxes and inserting that minifigure into production runs of 75188. I want to know if anybody has actually purchased those boxes.

There is a long conversation about this on Eurobricks. Most of it is on pages 56 & 57, including some “proof.”

Rare "errors' are a hot potato game with the guy at the end holding it losing

no one really wants it..just perceived value based on scarcity...seen it during the baseball card phase...seen rare error cards at shows going for ridiculous prices...never seen any actually purchased or in a private collection (ie actually purchased by a collector...end consumer)...usually just a conversation piece

Just comes down to how much the next reseller thinks its worth

I'm not sure what you mean by not seeing any actually purchased. Probably the best known example...Billy Ripken 89 Fleer cards sold like crazy at card shows for decently high amounts (given it was 30 years ago). 1987 Donruss opening day Barry Bonds (showing Johnny Ray) was another highly sought after card and still sells for high dollar amounts.

I will agree that error cards not corrected were just eye candy at the time.

Of course, there

Reminds me a little of smooth hair Leia, still the most expensive used minifigure I’ve ever sold.

She came in the 10198 Tantive IV  - I got this fig in a used 10198 set and bought the “rough” hair version to resell with the rest of the set.  That was a nice flip.

I know many here are not interested in UCS and 75144 but it is 15% off at £144.49 at LEGO Shop at Home Here in Uk. Back in stock.

also Silent Mary is on sale https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/product/Silent-Mary-71042

Quite a meagre discount with no promo for something that's not exactly setting the World alight. I'd hang on for >30% and some retailers may even offer more.

Yep.  They will soon be gone from all Targets and Walmarts as well.

it's not the stores you have to worry about this year,  it's the hidden bunkers that can be concerning

Back from retirement. And back ordered until April!?

Retailers sending all the cack back under sale-or-return? If so, Tower Bridge will be back next week!

Not an official tag yet but when I search "Retiring Soon" on Shop at Home I get the Tower Bridge (here's to hoping) and the FireHouse which would be a surprise.

This message seems 4 months out of date? Most 2018 retiring soon sets are long gone (except ideas 21308 which they may have to give away?).

S&H Have left retiring tags on retired sets which needs housekeeping.

Now waiting to see which sets slip into retirement this summer.

But not Kmarts, they're still full MSRP and sitting there collecting dust.  Well, until the workers move them around to make the shelves look full again.

Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but The Ghostbusters Firehouse is retired in Australia

Our warehouse is the size of a small convenience store, not everything that retires in Australia can be seen as a sign.
