Retiring Soon - open speculation

I hope they design a "turding soon" tag for 2017, one size would fit all.

stock on 75150 has dried up quickly - amazon selling for only 5% off MSRP now and walmart and target are OOS for shipping and local stock is wiped clean.  second largest Vader Tie Advanced ever produced should do ok with a 6 month lifespan.  unlikely to be remade anytime soon.  also this has 2300 people listed as wanting it on brickset and only 1500 owning it.  i'm expecting some hilarious amazon comments from pi$$ed off parents once amazon runs out and its QFFL on parade.

Scarcity is king but here it is a shelf warmer (RRP 110 euros). Recent 40% AND 50% off sales at Amazon tooks quite a while to blow out stock.  Need to check seals to see how many runs there have been.

These are not going anywhere soon. Tonnes on the shelf. I nearly fell for this marketing post. Checked online in other countries and they are everywhere.

Scooby doo is everywhere in my neck of the woods, but it's due to retire as well.  75150 Is marked to be retiring soon in other parts of the globe.  Marketing ploy by Lego? maybe.....only time will tell.

I will say this again the Simpson sets are done, now who know's how many are left in warehouses, etc but they are retired.

What's your gut feeling on Simpsons House post-EOL performance? My gut tells me that it won't even reach RRP in the UK for at least a year as the show isn't that popular over here.

Simpsons buildings still widely avaiable in the UK.

I have 11 75150 purchased from target, walmart, and amazon in the last 2 weeks.  All of them are 13R6 seal codes.

I have up to 32R6.  West coast.  I do think this set will lag to get off the shelf at RRP, but the xmas season might just push it out (for good?).

75150 has only been out for 5 months, that seems very short for a Star Wars set

TLG has taken a Stalinist approach to some sets this year,Star Wars or not. It´s not the only summer set that is for the chop either. Elves ones were also retired.

like you said before, time will tell with this set.  i'm happy betting on imminent EOL, Darth Vader and GMT for the win.

yes.  it does seem  a very short  time.  :money:

75150 is doing the dance - it was oos unorderable a month ago at LEGO Shop at Home and then came back now retiring soon in europe and OOS for ordering in North America.  You can't order it from walmart or target for shipping and stores have very limited stock when snooping around the US using the brickpicker stock checker.  amazon has pricematched TRU at 5% off MSRP.  i'm elated with all the healthy skepticism and naysayers who aren't hoarding.  it will just be that much easier to profit without all the undercutters.

SAH US can´t ever be trusted but the Euro site has been reliable so far - only a few dances from Maze and IR. Mindstorms is a weird one as it is only Sold Out in Germany.

All eyes on Simpsons´ House now to move to sold out. I´m also waiting to see what happens with T1 and Mini.

Will the sold out items come back again or definitely not?

They can come back into stock and they can even be resurrected further down the line.

Doubt it, the SH ain't selling well in the UK from what I've seen. The T1 and Mini are fantastic sellers so it doesn't make sense to retire them even though we all want them to drive off into the sunset.

I'd be interested to see how the Maze performs.
