Retiring Soon - open speculation

Received the "Late Holiday 2016 Catalog" in the mail today. Smallish catalog (maybe 30 pages). 4 Modulars featured, no PS.

But Maze still shows on the Ideas page. Discuss ......

That's easy. TLG catalogs are notoriously out of sync with actual production planning.

Then again, PS is beyond ready to retire while Maze hasn't been out that long. But who knows...

Galactic Empire Battle Back is SOLD OUT at USA LEGO Shop at Home.  This set came out in MARCH of this year and features the SHOCKTROOPER minifigure.  I can't believe this set is retired in 8 months.  Time to start accumulating.

Target.com seems to still have plenty. Go, team!

Just a word of caution.  Battle packs usually go to sold out, rather than backordered, then come back in stock.  though these and the Rebel Alliance pack are marked as Retiring Soon in EU so who knows....

It's sold out at Amazon and Wal-Mart, too. I'd bet on it being done. Not sure what the demand will be; we've spent a year with waaaaaay too many battle packs.

Has there ever been an instance where a product goes retired in one continent or country, but continues to be produced in another?

Yes. But not for long, or it's a seasonal thing.

Winter Village sets often go to "retired' in Europe, but either temporarily unavailable or always available in the US. Sometimes a set is retired in Europe sooner (or the US), but it is followed in a few months in the other place (e.g., SSD).

A good example right now, is the Disney minifig line. It has been retired for months outside of the US

This particular BP was backordered for 2+ weeks before it just switched to sold out.

Rebel Alliance BP 75133 is also sold out @ SAH.

40 Green Grocers?  What are you waiting for?

I call them General Grocers. Trying to open up my own food market and build them all together. The MOC will be the size of a (insert your local food market here) and everything inside is Lego. Even the food....crazy business model I know but I think it will work.

Edit: just realized some time the app doesn't show the picture posted.

In case my screen shot I took isn't showing on the app.

Sandcrawler and general grievous buildable showing out of stock at SAH.

Another one I think is on its way out is avengers tower. Walmart/target selling it 3rd party. Was lucky to buy 3 from each company at 40% off last week. Seems they may be done with it. I have 13 or 14 of those now.

It really seems like this one was just released.

Jan 2015 - it's been kind of laying low hanging out on 30% off perma-sale.  It's pretty thin and light to ship and toywiz is already selling them for fifty seven dollars - gee whiz mister, that seems a bit excessive.  i snagged a bunch last week @ 22.99 plus red card.

Flatiron Building is an even younger set slated to go which I have to get some more of.
