studontop Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Guys, just noticed that GE on TRU has a "our exclusive" on it. Is it going the way of VC now that target and Walmart doesn't have it anymore? 1 Quote

Crustybeaver Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Just trying to give heads up there will be better data options in the future...especially for people who sell on eBay. Will this data be available for the UK market as well Ed? Quote
dbost01 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 How long as Toys R Us had the "our exclusive" tag on the grand emporium? Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 How long as Toys R Us had the "our exclusive" tag on the grand emporium? About a month Quote

ZULU Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I wanted to discuss the 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush and pick your thoughts. This is in fact a set that will have disappeared by the end of the year - for sure. What is the general view? Is this a boat that people will need? Or is a LoTR more narrow - castle oriented theme? How popular will the franchise be 2 years from now. Is it like Harry P, or more like Lone Ranger? Now is the time to buy these boats very cheap, so it's worth a small discussion? no? thanks for your constructive input, and sorry in advance if this might be repetitive to some. I'd rather talk almost 99.99% retired sets this year, than a maybe 2014/5 one... ;-) txs Quote
studontop Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Regarding GE being a TRU exclusive, Im not sure. But castle cavalry 70813 from the lego movie is also a "TRU exclusive" which is weird cause other retailers also carry it. Quote

Castle cavalry is set 70806... it's not exclusive... Quote
MartinP Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Regarding GE being a TRU exclusive, Im not sure. If more than one retailer carries a set then it is not exclusive. TRU does this many times to make it look like their products cannot be found anywhere else, which makes uninformed people want to buy that set, when they could be getting it cheaper somewhere else. TRU has done this to several sets. 1 Quote
johnwray Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 If you see TRU bumped up theyre prices on the SSD and DS.. so maybe they have inside info on both those sets retiring. Now theyre just waiting for the hatchet? Any thoughts? TRU bumped their prices on all exclusives, so no. OH MY GOD ALL OF THE EXCLUSIVES ARE RETIRING 1 Quote
hobbycrafter Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Thanks for the replies. TRU is so shady. TRU is what makes baby's college funds cry. Quote

exciter1 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 When is the new sandcrawler that is due out in may gonna retire? I hope soon because it has a big box, and you know what they say about a big box. Quote
agp548 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I hope soon because it has a big box, and you know what they say about a big box. Oh yes I know exactly what a big box means thanks to a very nice lego employee. He said the bigger the box the quicker it retires. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Oh yes I know exactly what a big box means thanks to a very nice lego employee. He said the bigger the box the quicker it retires. Exactly why DS retired 3 years ago.. :D Quote

BearCrash Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 and you know what they say about a big box. That it's a bit like shooting hoops with a tennis ball? Quote
Ed Mack Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Will this data be available for the UK market as well Ed? Depends on what it is. We have less Terapeak annual data from non-US eBay regions, so there might be some applications that might suffer, but Jeff is trying very hard to incorporate more and more options and features for non-US regions. Darth_Raichu Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 That it's a bit like shooting hoops with a tennis ball? I actually prefer to use real basketball on regulation sized and height hoops. I do not think one can control a tennis ball as well since your palm is bigger that it 1 Quote
