TigerG
Quote from the PR thread:"A few weeks ago I had to return a Parisian Restaurant to the Lego Online Store since the box was so badly damaged. They told me on phone today that the do not know when they will have PR back in stock and are giving me a refund".....
game
Personal thoughts:1. I don't believe LEGO really cares about resellers. What are resellers for LEGO? Customers who buy sets in larger quantities than normal, keep the sets in order to make a profit in the future. Resellers just increase profit for LEGO right at the moment they buy sets, that's it Oh really, so why are people being banned from Lego shop @ home then?

gbg108
Oh really, so why are people being banned from Lego shop @ home then? My guess is that has more to do with wanting their "exclusives" to actually be exclusive and not be available at every 3rd party seller. They want their retail shops to have something special and a reason to exist. This is most likely the same reason no other retail shops (Walmart/Target/TRU) carry exclusives in store. Pick-a-brick alone probably wouldn't draw in the same crowds.
Ciglione
But why does Pet Shop say "temporarely out of stock" and underneath it says "We are currently making more, so please check back soon for availability" on US SaH.PS does not say "sold out" like DS.So what is the difference? Ed Mack
These look like manual messages someone posted. Maybe it's the new way of listing sets, maybe it's some customer service rep feeing sorry for people who have been calling in.
fantomas007
People please dont panic. Can you imagine retiring a modular set (PR) just after 1,5 year ?? I cannot. Why the hell would TLG design a modular set and finish it so quickly? It has normal size and prize, so there couldnt be an issue as it was with TH. Also I dont think that PR has bad selling numbers, it is one of the best modulars. Modular sets are popular, people are buying them frequently, why would TLG finish 1 of them just after 1,5 year, while other modulars were alive 4-5 years? Even Town hall, which was most expensive and went to short EOL, lived more than 2,5 years... I also doubt that PC will finish this year. Only retiring the PS is real...I think its a temporary shortage of these sets, or just a mistake (there is no logic to have sold out so many sets in same moment). Its horrible to see such panic also regarding the sets, which CANNOT retire at all - for example Kwik Emarkt - its impossible to think about this set as retired, it has just several months of life + Simpsons house is still here. tacsniper
People please dont panic. Can you imagine retiring a modular set (PR) just after 1,5 year ?? Why not throw a curve ball at collectors to force us to start buying sets early shortly after release? I am one not expecting PR to retire for another year... so I have none. But this Sold Out status in EU have me worry

jaisonline
I think Lego's web site developers are having more fun with us lately than Ed has. At least Ed gives us riddles and jingles.
