iahawks550
If Benny's is truly on it's way out. That set will be gold at Christmas. I still think there will be a restock of this at the retail level.
GhostDad
I think Benny is just about done. And it makes me sad, because I don't have any. Very cool looking retro spaceship though. Take away the goofy minifigs and you have a fun collectible for adults. Put them back and kids can go to town. It's a win-win, or would be if my Walmart had them for less than $99.99. I'm lucky if they don't mark Lego up.

terrymc4677
Regarding the Lego B&M in-store sale: 20% off at LEGO B&M The Hobbit: Lonely Mountain SH: X-Men vs. Sentinel SH: Hulk Lab Smash SH: Spider-Trike vs. Electro Architecture: UN Headquarters Creator: Bike Shop Mixels: Series 3 Friends: Dolphin Cruiser Lego Movie: Benny's Spaceship Lego Movie: Super Secret Police Dropship Some say that lego discount = retiring soon. For the most part that's valid and backed up by history. For several of these sets i think it makes sense, and is true. Lego Movie sets are likely leaving, Mixels of course are gone, SH sets have been replaced, Hobbit line is wearing down etc. However i would propose that this sale is NOT a retiring soon sale because its not also ONLINE. I think this is a store shelf space sale. These sets need to be gone for new sets to be on shelf in stores. I suspect most of these sets will remain instock online if not actually IN PRODUCTION, for months to come. Date stamps over the next few months will help prove or disprove this theory. Note that many of these sets are BIG, why arent the little Lego Movie sets on sale? Only the two biggest (non exclusive) ones. Same with Hobbit, Same with Creator. This is a get it out of lego store shelves sale, not a pre-retirement sale. Discuss. I'd love to see the Dolphin Cruiser retire. It's been out for awhile now, so it should be coming close to retiring. I think this set will surprise a lot of people once retired. Many of us were disappointed when it didn't perform as well this past Christmas like it did in 2013, which probably turned some people away from it's long term potential. Once it's gone, I think $150 is very attainable, if not a little more. That should bode well for those who got in around $50 or less. I've got a fleet of 24, and I'm kind of glad they didn't get flipped this past Christmas.
trekgate502
It's funny how the LEGO spies on the BrickPicker forums are working with LEGO to toy with the retirement status of the most recent wave, just to mess with us. You do not know the power of the dark side.

LOL I assure you I am not like palpatine in the Lego cartoon where he keeps taking his cloak on and off. I am with the forces of light. My friend just bought me one and seems like they charge higher in store compared to the online $129.99 and $49.99 price.
Quacs
I think I paid $111 (including tax) for my Lonely Mountain a week ago at Lego B&M.
Frogger21
I got my ToO today and I looked at the seals and they were 05 just as every else had mentioned. Then I inspected it further and the 05 seals were over 36 seals. On the bottom they were just the 36 seals. The box definitely showed some wear on it. I believe this run that we think might be a 2015 run is actually just a repackage because from all the information about seals we have seen there was a run towards the end of 2014 that had some mistakes and they just repacked with 2015 seals. Take it with a grain of salt but ToO hasn't had another 2015 run, it is just a repackage and once this stock dries up its gone.

But didn't notice the 36R4 seals.

biniou
I speculate Ecto-1 will have production halted midend of april. So sold out on LEGO Shop at Home around June (1 year after its release) ? That would be great (from an investor point of view).

License for Ghostbusters for a year. It's not really an ongoing theme and with the semi-fiasco of the Delorean, I hope they learned their lesson and just kept the licensing period to a minimum.

All those items in the list are 20% off in US Lego stores.

It's not really an ongoing theme and with the semi-fiasco of the Delorean, I hope they learned their lesson and just kept the licensing period to a minimum. Does the license expiring truly mean that they will retire Ecto-1 around June or does it mean that they can't produce any other Ghostbusters sets after June but they can continue to sell existing stock of Ecto-1? I would imagine Lego having the ability to extend that license if needed. Edited March 23, 2015 by oneknightr
emazers
The Only Problem that could extend the Ecto-1 if they decide to extend the License to do the Firehouse or any other set. But the Ecto-1 License should last until the end of the year.
