waddamon Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Anyone notice r2 status. Hopefully it stays orderable until may 4th. I am using my vips to order that to get 6 of the revan minifig. Still another week of double vip to go. Quote

Stevenplays Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I am going to go out on a limb and predict something will retire sometime in the future. Impossible. LEGO never stops producing a set. Quote

mcortez Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 GE most probably this year or early 2915. When emazers said we had to be patient for the long term investments, I really hadn't expected to have to wait quite that long... 1 Quote

waddamon Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I just want it to be orderable. Not to concerned for when it ships, though i have been waiting on one summer riding camps since early Feb.. If that red button goes away then sol like the SSD, at least for double t points. Quote
biniou Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 When emazers said we had to be patient for the long term investments, I really hadn't expected to have to wait quite that long... I guess in 9 centuries humans will have 7 or 8 fingers on each hand so legos have a nice future. Quote
Ciglione Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I think alot of sets (exclusives) will retire this year. There are just to many exclusives now in MHO. And there are new ones coming. I expect the usual suspects to retire. Will there be some surprises? Maybe yes. Just let them wait for that a couple of months more so I have reached all my objectives and have sufficient stock on all sets which are retirement suspects. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Since GE is the "favourite" to retire and Lego know that and may want to shaft us, I expect the PS to go first. For every Quote
Crustybeaver Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 The trend would suggest that the Grand Emporium will retire next, between October and December this year. Pet Shop 2015 and Town Hall 2016 Quote
weakside Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 noticed today...SSD has no 'add to bag' button and temporarily out of stock sign (for what it's worth). GE is out of stock will ship in 30 days. Quote
mudcatsfan Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Noticed something interesting today. The SSD says "SOLD OUT" without the option to add to bag, and of course with no return date in the search results. http://search-en.lego.com/?q=star+destroyer&cc=US However, if you click thru to its page, it says "TEMPORARILY out of stock" http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Super-Star-Destroyer-10221 Not saying that means its definately coming back, but it does make it slightly different than say a set like the Y-wing which shows Sold out on both the search result page AND the product page. Bold-Arrow Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I'm bored so here it goes: pirate ship ambush OOS @ amazon Edit: scratch that, item under review Quote

The manager at my local Lego store did say that it's retiring, and they had a one-per-household limit. Plus, I can only assume that Temp OOS is somehow different than SO or OOS with a restock date. Maybe they're expecting some returns from a retailer that they'll then sell through LEGO Shop at Home until they run out again? Quote
Guest Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Dont forget R2-D2 ! Out of stock, will ship in 30 days Quote

I still have a gut feeling this thing will be around all year. I'd like to see it as part of the May the 4th sale. Quote
waddamon Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I hope it pops back in quiickly before double points is over so I can snag 5 more. Quote
Young_Gun21 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I hope it pops back in quiickly before double points is over so I can snag 5 more.If I remember correctly some members said there store was restocking Monday(today). I bet it comes back in stock sometime today. Some people said there stores aren't restocking so I believe this might be the last wave of SSD. IMO Quote
ninjasnake1337 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I can still add 99 SSD to my cart here in the UK; this has not gone out of stock in the last couple of months I've been watching this. There's either a big supply, low interest, or a combination of the two here. Take that as you may. Quote
exciter1 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I hope it pops back in quiickly before double points is over so I can snag 5 more. Just a tip for those Amazon lovers. Kroger has 4x fuel points right now on gift card purchases. If you buy $400 worth it well net you $56 on 35 gallons. If you buy $500 in gift cards, it can get you $70 for 35 gallons. I usually use this to buy Amazon gift cards instead of 2x VIP for big purchases. It makes it a much better deal for me, since I'm still in a no tax state. Quote
Young_Gun21 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Interesting thing I just noticed: Pre Visla's Mandalorian is the only "retiring soon" tagged set still available besides a $4 or $5 thing. A lot of retiring soon sets get discounted so might want to keep an eye out for a deep discount on this one. One member found them for $12 at his LEGO store. Quote
