I called a retailer to order one PS but they didn't had any. I asked when they would get new ones, they looked in the computer and then they said that they would not get any PS anymore and they could look till Deliveries in March.

I was at a lego store today in the king of Prussia mall in PA.

Interesting observation.

The shelves were packed full.

Not a single modular. Not one. I even asked.

No Simpson house

No t1 van

No Arkham asylum

They did have:

Tower of orthanc. plenty

Triple E

Red 5 xwing

Tumbler

I would guess that the advent of the Kwik E Mart will herald the retirement of the Simpsons house.  The lack of modulars is interesting, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say they probably aren't all being retired this year...

Stopped by lego store in Kansas City and similar - no modular buildings at all, no T1, no Simpsons House, no Sea Cow. They did have TB, ToO, Ewok V, Sandcrawler, lots of Fairground Mixers, and 2 Tumblers.

I would guess that the advent of the Kwik E Mart will herald the retirement of the Simpsons house.

I would guess the Simpsons House will sit alongside the Kwik E Mart and not retire anytime soon. I'd imagine it to have a 2-3 year lifespan, not retiring until end of 2015 at the very earliest.

If anyone should know when the Simpsons House will be retiring it should be Crusty(beaver).

Why? I would think just the opposite. There would be renewed interest in the Simpsons House IMO.

I would hope the same also just because i haven't gotten a few of the modulars like the palace cinema and parisian thinking they wouldn't be gone. They still have a kragled parisian on display so id hope its coming back.

 oh yes I forgot about the Seacow. They had a few and a kragled one on display. (im speculating about the kragling)They did have sandcrawler also not sure about TB as the box is always there on display but usually empties. although the investment potential it doesnt interest me to own. 

If you're talking about a LEGO Store, the displays are definitely not glued.

Something i noticed this morning.

 

10225 R2D2 now says "SOLD OUT" on Lego LEGO Shop at Home, where he previously said Temporarily out of stock. This looks like a hint of moving closer to EOL.

 

For comparisson sake, Arkham went straight to, and still is in "Sold Out".

PS is in the new 2015 catalog, along with the other 3 newer modulars. I would bet it is not going any time soon, but could behave like what GE did in 2014 as we go deeper into 2015.

Got to make room for Slave 1, Tie Fighter and possible a large Hoth set? I'd be surprised if Red 5 made it to May 4th, and if it does, I think it would be a prime candidate to get a discount.

Just flipped through the January 2015 catalog and saw the picture with TH, PC, and PR together with the tagline "Combine these LEGO Modular Buildings: Parisian Restaurant, Pet Shop, Palace Cinema, and the New Detective's Office!".

C'mon, Lego! At least get the stupid picture to match what you are selling!

Indeed an UCS* vehicule cannot kick a playset...

If there was 50 UCS and 60 batman playsets, it would not be the same, but here it's 1-1 so no way the tumbler is supposed to be considered as the biggest Batman set aimed to kids. They don't have the same age ratio (12+ / 16+). The tumbler can't even turn its wheels !

 

But I'm not sure that Jokerland will be the new biggest batman playset and replace the AA. Look at the Batcave 6860 or the Funhouse 6857, they were both available at the time of the AA. If Jokerland is a 99 dollars set as rumors told us, then it doesn't mean we can't have an other $199 batman playset before the end of 2015. Let's say a batcave for example...
