Last night we has 103 items unavailable, more than a third of the retiring soon list. Incidentally, it's a set my daughter really desired to have for Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholaus) in 2015 (and she got it because I got it at a nice discount). As much as kids (mostly boys I guess) love dinosaurs, girls love mermaids! Who knows... This set might turn out to be a desirable set in the future! I just bought the cinderella ones today for exactly the reason you gave. Daughter preferece. It´s still early days - I remember that Tumbler, Red 5 and DS all suddenly became scarce when I was on holiday last December.
