Wazzapova
@fuzzy_bricks from an investment standpoint of course Tower Bridge is the right choice, but I want the mixer so badly lol. I can only buy one or the other next month per budget ;)
knarrff
You don't need to buy everything just because it might retire. Sometimes it is good to buy something you really enjoy building. Otherwise - where would the fun be?

I can only buy one or the other next month per budget Just like knarrff said, sometimes, you have to buy what you enjoy building. Keep this fun, and not a chore, and you'll get enjoyment out of the investment game for a long time. Having said that, here are some things to keep in mind: The Mixer will be available for a long time. It's not going to retire anytime soon. There will be opportunities to pick this up during a Double VIP event, or potentially any sale that might happen. So you have the chance to buy this for awhile, and get it with some discounting. Tower Bridge has been out for awhile. It will probably retire sooner rather than later. Just some things to think about.
johnwray
I am wondering about that too. I have send an email to lego with an idea for the next landmark. I would love to have the pyramids with the Sphynx [snip] I'm not sure how much fun that would really be to build. I imagine the parts list might look something like this:

knarrff
I'm not sure how much fun that would really be to build. That depends. Such a pyramid is usually not empty. Think of all the traps, moving parts, skeletons, minifigures trying to break in or escape, sarcophaguses, treasures. I agree, closed-up it wouldn't be much of an eye-catcher.

If they would put it really in detail with: snakes, skeletons, traps, wall drawings (would be like a puzzle). I would love such a set. Huskers1236
Sounds like you guys need to invest in Pharoah's Quest. Edit: Ninja'd above.

cissi
Well, even Taj Mahal has a lot of repeating bricks/plates. Unavoidable for big sets. I haven't built SSD myself so I don't know about it. But yeah, RH has quite 'a few' relatively boring bricks. Nevertheless, their color is just beautiful.

exciter1
Most of it makes sense regardless of source Chi Temple is actually a pretty short production run. It makes me wish I would have jumped on those $75 deals last holiday season.

holleman67
Or 6860 Right? All of that superman stuff got me excited
Ciglione
Keep 6860 for a bit longer please. Especially at the $69 pricepoint! I have 3 now. But I would like to have some more. I will place another order soon. 6862 is not so special. It does not die cause it is a small set which was produced more.
