gregpj Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 $140-150 December easy That would be nice but I have my doubts. Maybe on Amazon but I think feeBay will max out at $140. Quote
Migration Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 That would be nice but I have my doubts. Maybe on Amazon but I think feeBay will max out at $140. How do they expect me to feed my family with that kind of margin? I mean it's a $30 set, it should hit $300 this year;) 1 Quote
Neosphinx Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 No matter what, this set is pure plastic gold. I think I might try a lobster in the spa. 4 days of lego-free bliss. "Oh sir, and how will you pay, VISA, Mastercard?" "Rover, dear sir" 4 Quote
jjsrt8 Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I had a bunch of rovers and then I blanked myself over. Haha oh well I learned a lesson I don't do quick flipping anymore. I have one in the personal collection. May trade for a modular. Quote
trekgate502 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 This thread does not get much activity any more understandably. Asking genuinely - Does anyone REALLY think this thing is going to sky rocket at Christmas from its $95-$100 price point? If so when would we see that taking place. I just do not see it being moved on ebay at all. I am tempted to unload the 15 I have at $95 each take the profits and use them to invest into the exclusives that are approaching EOL or mixed flipping. Opinions? Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I only have 13 left after selling 85 of them for between Quote

Opinions? they are moving somewhat slowly on amazon, but my expectations are they will move faster closer to Christmas, but i don't expect skyrocketing prices this christmas - sales rank is kinda low. Maybe a little off the radar for the average Lego consumer, but should still continue to grow. Plenty of folks will be happy to unload (or unload a portion of their inventory) at the current price point, however, so until that supply is exhausted don't look for any more spikes in price. Quote

No More Monkeys Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Well, it is half-true, since it is retired in Europe, and Rovers only had "S" location codes... Quote

I hope not. depends who deceives who. i think TLC is the deceiver here since it knows that Rover is retired. yet they keep it at Sold Out in US. Quote

Someone tacked it on, when I went to post on the thread about unloading them my link from an old email failed and had to search the forums which was easy to find but I noticed the name change then Quote

kunfuzd Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Offer on eBay of $50: I'm a student in NYC who just finished an MFA program in fiction writing. I was given a small grant to fly to Pasadena and visit NASA's JPL and interview scientists and see the REAL rover. I just want to assemble this! Broke! Not a collector! Please Uh, okay, let's see.... $50 minus fees and initial cost of $30 will net me less than $10... Hmmm.... Quote
