weakside Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I would be happy selling the majority of my stock between $80-$100 from now til holiday season and adjust accordingly. Lower expectations, I'll take my small potatoes and move on Let the big spenders/long term folks cash in later. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I just need to sell for $5 lower than jojoyojimbi's asking price to achieve maximum profit ;) Quote
Crustybeaver Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I'm really looking forward to $150 prices come Xmas Still banging the $150 drum by Christmas I see. Considering they're selling for around $80 at the moment I'd say doubling in five months sounds like a tall order. 4 Quote
holleman67 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Everyone needs to price theirs at $150, let's help the market decide the price a little bit Quote
grackleflint Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Still banging the $150 drum by Christmas I see. Considering they're selling for around $80 at the moment I'd say doubling in five months sounds like a tall order. It seems like being priced/sold at twice over MSRP has slowed sales down a bit. There has apparently only been 4 sales in the past week on eBay and there's 3 sellers on Amazon with over 50 sets combined and currently priced at $70 with free shipping. And the last eBay auction on 7/14 went for $62 including shipping. Quote

Out of the Dark Years Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I've seen this set still in a few stores here in Australia. One store had 3 or 4. Selling for $49.99 AUD Quote
sroster Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I didn't get that notification and I am positive I signed up for it. And I was up until 3 am last night. The fates have conspired against me to never get this set. Couldn't even find one at the Kennedy Space Center! Heh. Quote
Ed Mack Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Technically, ALL sets are limited. Not really...Let me know when the Live Star retires. Off topic...Welcome to the site, Perijove. 1 Quote
DarthDrake Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I also received this notification, but being on the west coast I was still awake (11:08 PM) when I got it. I was able to order 6 and my order is processing, so we'll see if the order goes through or not!? Fingers crossed Glad someone on here got in on it. Quote

I signed up (and have email from TRU to confirm) and didn't get the notice either. Quote

Pseudoty Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Can you post the production codes for those 6 sets when / if you receive them ? Agreed would be nice to know if there was another run but OP is from Canada so I think we are still safe. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Hmm, why would anyone with less than 90 of these in stock would NOT want another production run ? ;) 1 Quote
trekgate502 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I am not that worried. It shows on Lego Shop at Home as retired in England, Australia, Denmark and New Zealand. Sold out in USA and Canada. I think it is gone. Quote
trekgate502 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Hmm, why would anyone with less than 90 of these in stock would NOT want another production run ? Because they have 15-20 of them and are ready for the price to hit $200 each! 1 Quote
holleman67 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I'm not ready for another production run. I am maxed out on my budget Quote
Perijove Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Off topic...Welcome to the site, Perijove. Thanks! Though I'm not into reselling (yet), I have learned a lot from this forum and the site. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Because they have 15-20 of them and are ready for the price to hit $200 each! Need to slow down people. This isn't going to hit that anytime soon - and maybe not ever. Hextupling (?) does not happen often. Quote

NASA keeps pumping out search for other life articles like this weeks, makes people look up space exploration, find the rover and want to buy it at Christmas. Just need NASA to keep feeding those articles about search to find life. Keeps helping it head to $200 Maybe not, but maybe. Quote
inversion Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 If the Curiosity found actual life this set would hit 500$. 2 Quote
