TheOrcKing
HA HA HA! That...was epic. Here is the link to the Fall 2012 review results. This is a project of epic proportions; a Sandcrawler that could potentially dwarf even the Taj Mahal, currently the largest LEGO set ever produced. Unfortunately we can

jaisonline
with this selection, i would bet we'll be getting a redesigned sandcrawler sometime before 2016. this is one of the few (if not the only ) iconic star wars vehicles that hasn't had a designed. if we do get a redesigned sandcrawler, it will most likely be a non-UCS one. http://blog.lego.cuusoo.com/2013/06/14/results-fall-2012-lego-review/
Blackjack
But seriously... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grolim
Not surprised with the result. The Mars Rover looks like a set that is easy to produce, has no license fees (I don't think they'll have to pay NASA?), and will be at a reasonable price point. I like the educational and science awareness aspect as well, this pushes all the right buttons for Lego as a brand. I would have liked the Sandcrawler too, but it was never going to happen. Too big, too pricey, too risky. Plus I think the sandcrawler we already have is a pretty good depiction of the vehicle.
segreto
This is just awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGCIqGOtjv4 I am a big fan of the Curiosity, and this would be an awesome build. I had ordered the Hot Wheels version ,but it never came, and was a loss.
Guest idunno101
It looks even cooler when you see it in action. Hopefully Lego keeps it pretty much the same because I would buy it right now!
MartinP
It is a cool set. It is now on my "to buy" list.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
Wow. That has got to make it. I am not huge into space or anything, but just an awesome piece of history to own.
segreto
It has already made it. Not sure what the next steps are for a production, if any. If anything, it would be nice if there was a pdf of directions to make your own if Lego does not pick it up. After reading this: http://blog.lego.cuusoo.com/2013/06/14/results-fall-2012-lego-review/ I am even more confused about the review process and if Lego reviewed it and ok'd it, or if it's still in the process. Quacs
All systems go for the Mars Curiosity Rover. They are in design/production right now. I would guess it will be available for retail sometime in the next 4-6 months.

Quacs
That is a killer box design. I don't think they could have done any better with it. Simply stunning. The set looks great too - I think they hit a home run with the color scheme. I will be grabbing one for the personal collection.

abri123
This is available now (27th December) on Lego UK site so presumably it's in their stores too. None on ebay so if anyone here lives near a bricks and mortar store you might be able to flip some for people that can't wait till 1st Jan worldwide?? fieldbricks
Well, what do you guys think? There's a 1 per customer limit on LEGO Shop at Home and according to the latest catalog, it was labeled as "Limited Quantity". Is this another potential "21102 Minecraft initially out of stock" investment (only to find that Lego will have more stock later on?) Migration
Probably. I'm still grabbing a few though.
@rtisan
Interesting. That could possibly be the case if this is a "one and done" sort of deal with the set. Obviously though, it`d be surprising if a set like this shows evidence of the same demand as there was/is for Minecraft.
fieldbricks
Well, if this set follows the same pattern as 21102 did, the initial wave will sell out quickly, and go for a high price for second hand sellers, then Lego waits a few months and creates new stock. Either way, it looks like a great set nonetheless. I'll be grabbing a few just in case.
Migration
There is exactly one BIN for this on eBay right now, priced at 69.99. Curious to see if it sells.
