raindog Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Yeah, I watched this about an hour ago. I couldn't stand his earlier stuff, mostly because of the "Arm-sweep" video that he did years ago but he has matured and I have started watching his channel fairly regularly. I believe that Ryan covered the Bakery set as well. BTW, I found that he was spot-on with his assessment of the final top piece. It's a shame that the final piece kinda sours what is otherwise a great build. Did you find it irritating on your build? Quote

I didn’t really notice it but that is the second time I saw someone point this out. I just tried a quick fix 4 of these in trans clear placed on the 4 inner studs of the top side of the dome. It elevates the lid a little but it won’t fall off. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=85861&idColor=88#T=S&C=12&O={"color":12,"ss":"US","rpp":"100","iconly":0} 1 Quote
Pseudoty Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 (edited) No reviews yet on this one but $68 for a Modular with no stickers: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8J92MC6?m=AL2L6RXHQLCYK&ref=psp_pc_a_AYJMSM28ZB7LS Also watched this interesting review: Edited August 8 by Pseudoty 2 Quote

The lighting and all the printed pieces for $68 seems like a steal. The only thing I see so far that I'm not a fan of is what appears to be oversized hands on the minifigures. *Edit: I wish they would include dimensions because I never know if Amazon's dimensions are box or product. When researching their website for dimensions (not listed there either), I did notice this photo. I really like that they include closed rear that swivels open to reveal the floor rather than having to take each section apart: Edited August 8 by BRIX23 Adding *Edit section 1 Quote

I just built this Funwhole set yesterday it was only $18 on amazon but I don’t really recommend it unless you are doing their Farm Life collection of sets. It does have 2 lights but I don’t have it hooked up yet. The minifigures come totally unassembled legs, arms, hands and all and they give you extras of the arms and hands. 1 Quote

Boggles my mind how these knockoff companies invest tremendous time energy and money to launch quality products, and come up with these bizarre sounding names. Any native english speaking 5 year old could come up with something better. Quote

I’d this a homeless guy in the lower right hand corner? If so, love the commitment to current economic accuracy. 2 Quote

I received mine today. I had also ordered 3 of the 6-pack Series 26 minifigs boxes from Amazon. Stark contrast. Amazon's minifigures cames in a soft "paper bag" mailer. The Hot Dog Stand came in a very nice double-walled box. Opening that, I found the set was boxed in a decent-sized clamshell box. I had expected something akin to a $20 LEGO box and received something closer to a $70 set. Although a little smaller, packaging was just like the old Big Bang Theory set or the Yellow Submarine set. Solid. And for some reason, I thought that they were shipping the freebie without lights. Not so! Light kit was included. I looked through the instructions and they are not only easy to read and understand, but offer the perfect lighting and contrast to be able to tell the different colors for even these 64 year old eyes. If I had paid full price for this set, i would have been pleased. Free made it killer! i can't wait to build it and put it beside F.O's Newsstand model. Thanks @Pseudoty for the heads-up! 1 Quote

Dr Jedi Posted October 16 Posted October 16 (edited) Well, you've piqued my curiosity with these sets. I'll have to order up the chili dog stand, and I would really hope to be able to snag a holiday newsstand for my winter village Looking at the Funwhole website, looks like the holiday newsstand is already sold out for the US. I'm guessing that's accurate? Edited October 16 by Dr Jedi Quote

And the holiday set isn’t available yet it should be on Amazon soon that is how they fulfill US orders. 1 Quote
