TheOrcKing Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 CapnRex101 just posted this review on Brickset for the upcoming Corporate Alliance Tank Droid.Name: Corporate Alliance Tank Droid Number: 75015 Pieces: 271 Minifigures: 3Retail: US - $19.99, CAN - $24.99, AUS - $39.99, UK - Quote
Blackjack Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 This is an amazing set and I will most likely be buying multiples, especially when it goes on sale. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Question to the Clone Wars watchers. Is that tank in minifig scale? I never really paid attention but I thought the tanks look bigger in the series. Quote
sadowsk1 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I'm in for one. I have a feeling like this set is going to go the same route as the Desert Skiff. Both sets are very nice though. Quote
Darth Lego Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Question to the Clone Wars watchers. Is that tank in minifig scale? I never really paid attention but I thought the tanks look bigger in the series. The Lego version is slightly too small in comparison to the minifigures, but it is pretty close IMO. I've added some pictures of it from Ep. 3 Revenge of the Sith so you compare them with the Lego version. Quote
Rich B Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I love this set, can't wait to pick a couple up!! Quote
Huskers1236 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 The set itself doesn't really interest me, but I do need a Jango Fett. 1 Quote
stackables Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Set looks pretty weak to me. Other than the Jango fett fig the set doesn't interest me. Jango's guns look horrible too. Is the Tank any better than the original? 1 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 Coming up with another review is again CapnRex101 for the Duel on Geonosis set. Name: Duel on Geonosis Number: 75017 Pieces: 391 Minifigures: 3Retail: US - $39.99, CAN - $49.99, AUS - $69.99, UK - Quote
Grolim Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Now that one I like. Interesting set with it looks like a few different elements. Quote
TheDarkness Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Definitely be getting Geonosis (though Yoda in this set seems to remind me of Fozzie Bear for some reason) I do like the Tank Droid though not sure if I will be grabbing any. All depends on discounts I can find. Quote

Diabolos80 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 This set should include Anakin and Obi-Wan, instead of a Geonosian and a robot. You get Anakin and Obi in the gunship, which is chasing Dooku to the duel area Quote

TheOrcKing Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Yet another review by CapnRex101 on Brickset for a very large 2nd Wave Star Wars set.Name: Republic Gunship Number: 75021 Pieces: 1,175 Minifigures: 7Retail: US - $119.99, CAN - $149.99, AUS - $179.99, UK - Quote
TheDarkness Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I really wasn't going to get the RGS, since I have 3 or 4 of the CW ones..... but maybe just one. Not a fan of the Anaking fig, but love the rest Quote
TheOrcKing Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Not a fan of the Anaking fig, but love the rest I agree, the Anakin minifigure is a little off with that hair. Padme and Obi-Wan are right on the money though and I like those battledroids. Quote
abri123 Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Ref: The Tank Droid, will there be much interest in this investment wise? There isn't for me personally. I had the earlier one, 7748, as I got it used cheap, and wasn't that impressed and sold it on. CAGR is barely above zero either. Not one I'm going to look at. Quote
Darth Lego Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 The more I look at the Republic Gunship the more I want it. I will probably end up getting one. An improved structure and a redesigned interior really makes this set better than the previous two. The minifigures are like a cherry on top in my opinion. Quote
exciter1 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 So, who's going to be able to wait until 2014 to buy any new Summer 2013 Star Wars sets? I like telling myself I will wait and concentrate on EOL and clearance sets until next year. Will I be able to do it, I doubt it? I have trouble resisting a good sale on big sets, no matter how new they are. I like the Republic Gunship, Jabba's Sail Barge, and Ewok Village very much. Quote
stinger-311 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 I must say I prefer the earlier version (2nd) of this tank droid as it the main centre disc is pre-printed and has fantastic detail to this new one that is just blank. Not to say I won't getting some as I have already pre ordered the entire new range of star wars sets from a local dealer. I am in Australia and got 25% off RRP before our dollar tanked, so happy Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 I agree, the Anakin minifigure is a little off with that hair. Padme and Obi-Wan are right on the money though and I like those battledroids. Yeah they even made her look pregnant Quote
