Diabolos80 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/2372# Awesome Sauce. This vessel dwarves the Imperial Flagship, and looks killer from every angle. If you know how to post a picture instead of a lame link, please do so. There are better pictures out there, too. Quote
Maverick2k1 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Wow, that's pretty impressive. Where the heck old you display that!? Quote
Diabolos80 Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=61406&st=75 Thanks Exobro! Can you post the pics of the stern? Notice the rowboat hanging off the back and the custom scorpion stained glass. I love this ship. You guys please support him on Cuusoo, the project's a year old and needs help to get reviewed. Quote
TheDarkness Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Supported. Looks awesome, and I am not really into ships! Quote
ExoBro94 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 No problem! This ship looks awesome!!!! Here is the stern: Quote
stackables Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Missed the Imperial Flagship...this looks awesome! Quote
Diabolos80 Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 Bumpity bump. The coolest custom Lego pirate ship ever deserves a few more looks... Quote
Diabolos80 Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Now for sale: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-MOC-Scorpions-Soul-Ultimate-Pirate-Ship-/281126197720?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item41746d59d8 Quote
JoshTX Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Now for sale:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-MOC-Scorpions-Soul-Ultimate-Pirate-Ship-/281126197720?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item41746d59d8 I expect someone with money to burn will buy it at that price. It's pretty reasonable considering prices of some of the other MOC's we have seen. Quote
Diabolos80 Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 I would say 1500 is too much, but it's got more than piece count in its favor. Hand-made sails, custom window printing, detailed instructions and parts list... The guy obviously put a lot of effort into it. Quote
Snowcrash Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Anybody dare to to and price this thing out, gte a feel for how much "real value" went into it? I assume there's nowhere near $1500 worth of actual parts in there, so you're paying a pretty hefty price tag for some custom sails and decals. I'm not trying to disparage the guy for taking a stab at the big bucks, and if he happens upon a collector with money to burn then good on him, but honestly seeing something like this would more likely inspire me to build my own then it would get me to open the checkbook... To me, Lego is an art medium, just like paint or stone. When you buy art, you aren't paying for the materials. Quote

Considering the piece count (5700) and the details in the ship I find it a ''reasonable'' price.... but for 1500$ I would rather buy 10 big sets and be way more happy (even at retail lol) Quote

The sails seem to be the only custom 'parts' of the build far as I can see. Like you, I'd rather put that kind of cash into a bunch of retail sets and do my own thing. It is too bad that the Pirate theme may not make a comeback. Quote

Yeh but searching and ordering and paying to likely 50 different people on BL and awaiting orders and so on and on, likely outweights the purchase price (to me atleast) It would be a mess building this ship alone I know it. But to me ships dont hold much value (like trains) I prefer Castles and landscapes! Quote

Bsusanka Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I hope lego releases another pirate. Black seas barracuda was my all time favorite set as a kid. Quote
